Learn more about this land: Welcome to Moose River Lodge! In our opinion you will have just about the best of every world! Quick and convenient access to the endless fun of Old Forge and the surrounding area, yet very remote, very quiet and connected to nature! A short drive down the road will lead you to a beautiful River Island Oasis which is our favorite swimming hole, excellent for Whitewater paddlers, fisherman etc. Our property also has direct access to the snowmobile trail system, and only a very short trailer ride to access the ATV system. We back our 35' coach in the driveway with no issue. Currently there is only a 120v/ 15amp outlet alongside the driveway, and access to a garden hose off the back of the cabin. There is no septic hookup. Tent camping can be done anywhere on the property as there is a nice field on either side of the road with many options.Welcome to Moose River Lodge! Pay was so helpful making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, made it known although he wasn’t there—we just needed to reach out via phone and he was super prompt with responses. The property is GORGEOUS!! Close to hikes, and a super cute town. 10/10 coming back

Check-in: Easy! We actually had some issues with our own travel plans on the initial day, but we were able to adjust the arrival date with Pat. He was highly communicative down to the second we were on the property asking for the Wifi password. Pat's driveway was flat and we did not need any levelers. We had poor T-Mobile service with a booster where we parked on his property (you can park anywhere on his property, even across the street!). We parked between his truck and the house and was able to get the Wifi no problem. I would 100% recommend asking Pat for the wifi password (he will send you a QR code to scan) before driving up Moose River Road. Stay: Peaceful and isolated (minus the road). We parked about 20 meters or so away from the road in Pat's driveway between the house and his truck. Ample space for our awning (or popups if you got'em). There looked to be a hiking path in the far back of the property, but we did not explore too much because the weather was hot and humid. Our puppy did enjoy playing outside, prancing around in the grass to his heart's content. Electricity was easy to find, same with the water spigot on the side of the house. There was some road noise, but it was hardly noticeable. The property also had a great fire pit and lawn chairs to relax on, but we stayed inside due to the weather. We unfortunately did not get to meet up with Pat, but he seemed really awesome. Check-out: Straight-forward. Pat was very flexible and stated that we had all day to check out. No rush at all. Refilled our freshwater jugs from his hose spigot and was on our way to Albany, NY. Definitely would recommend. tl;dr: Wonderful property tucked away on Moose River Road far away from the bustle of the typical NY city with the most chill host. Stayed here in a 19-foot-long skoolie. @bigsirbus would stay here again.
