Pine Forrest Glamping Tent
The host got mad at us because we couldn't find the place - there's only one small sign of the place and it's hidden behind a bush because: "I don't want people to know about this place". There's nothing "glam" about this camping space, the bathroom was both not clean and filled with spiders. I understand it's not easy to run a camping or any type of hospitality space (I myself have already owned a hostel), but not having some patience with guests and being misleading will not take them anywhere.

A Season Getaway for City-Escapists
My wife and I recently took a trip up to this campsite for our anniversary on the coldest week of the year there. We knew what we were signing up for when booking this place but were pleasantly surprised at some of the amenities offered. The cabin had a dinky little space heater that we were worried about but this thing managed to get so hot that we had to open the windows! The Kitchen (which is a separate structure from the cabin) is a cute place to hang out and has a fridge, hot plate, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, water kettle and a wood burning stove. The outhouse is well insulated and remained relatively warm even when the temp outside reached -7f. Afsana, the host, reached out to us the day after we requested booking to inform us about the campsite.. She left a few gallons of water and pointed us to the direction of a public water runoff where we could fill up every night. The whole time we were there, we imagined how much nicer the campsite would be in the summer time. It's definitely a 3-season campsite and if you plan to stay any longer than a few days, finding a shower in the winter may be a challenge. Afsana kept in close communication and would call us right back if we had a question. The few things we would've appreciated to make this stay more winter friendly would be an extra space heater in the kitchen, an axe to chop wood small enough for the indoor stove (or an option to buy pre-chopped). Otherwise great campsite! thanks Afsana :)

Amazing experience!
Thank you so much! We have a great experience! The location is the best! You can find yourself closed to Bethel Woods and Woodstock Stage Area. Amazing! Afsana is a great hostess and her place is adorable with great vibes! Highly recommend it!

Black Mold & Unpleasant Grounds
BOTTOM LINE: Avoid. We left early after one night. ABBREVIATED REVIEW: What looked like a cute and rustic cabin in the woods turned out to be a musty, dusty, poorly maintained property, with with BLACK MOLD. FULL REVIEW: My family and I are campers, we love the outdoors, and have slept in everything from standard tents to rustic cabins. We liked the look of this place for it's outdoor kitchen, cute cabin, and affordable price. Unfortunately, we had to pack up and leave after the first night. Why? The smell of mold is so strong, due to the poor choice of the hosts to load a while bunch of textiles and an unprotected couch, and chair, in the middle of the humid woods. If you start to look around you can see the mold on all the surfaces, including BLACK MOLD on the mattresses. Look up black mold - it is hazardous to your health and the spores can travel back home with you on your clothing, or luggage. All of the cabinets in the cabin are broken and full of junk, leaving you no place to store your clothing, so you'll have to live out of your bag, which there is really no place for, unless you want to use the musty couch for your clothing. The outdoor kitchen was completely in shambles, with rusted junk lying around, a non-working grill, and no utensils to cook with. The property at large is hardly a pleasant place to have a wooded experience, with construction material and "visual clutter" (as the host admitted in her text to me after the fact) lying everywhere. The bathroom was more or less as described, and we had no problem using the compost toilet (we've used them before and appreciate the eco-friendliness of them). We did not try out the shower, as we were in too much of a hurry to leave. The lock box was broken, leaving the key exposed to any stranger to come along and make a copy - not what I wanted when sleeping in the middle of an unfamiliar area with my daughters. The host and I exchanged text messages, in which I tried to offer her my suggestions, in a friendly way. I also requested a refund, to which she did not respond. She did however accuse me of harrassment, which was confusing. The host is clearly not up to the task of providing a friendly, clean, well-maintained property, and HipCamp might want to re-assess the suitability of this property as they try and build their reputation.

Magical Retreat
Afsana greeted us to show us the cabin and facilities. She is wonderful and so is the space. What a lovely retreat perfect for a weekend to clear your head and connect with nature effortlessly. Absolutely beautiful magic place would recommend.

Super cute and very quiet! I had a lovely weekend alone and Afsana was extremely nice and helpful. It was a *little* closer to proper camping than I expected, so be sure to bring all of your own cooking supplies including pots, utensils, et cetera.
