This property and house date back to 1901. This is the old house that belonged to the power plant that sits behind. After the power plant closed the property became a quarry. Turned into a private house that now sits in a quiet and private 5 acres below the main road.

Private Cabin on Spring Fed Pond
Host is very rude and ad is a lie.
When we arrived the host had no clue that we were coming to stay for two day. The cabin was a mess and definitely can not fit 10 people in it maybe 5 at most. Host was then rude to us and verbally attacked my girl friend for us having to many car. Overall a terrible stay I would not recommend this host to anyone

The cabin itself was beautiful and all of the items provided made it even better! Would highly recommend. I will be back someday for sure!

Private Cabin on Spring Fed Pond
Alexandra's cabin was just as cozy and charming as expected. We enjoyed her thoughtful touches, such as Halloween decor. The cabin is equipped with the cooking/eating utensils and dishes you will need, plus a very nice two-burner stove. There was plenty of water for drinking and a convenient camp sink. We were toasty warm as well, as the wood stove is powerful and Alexandra provided wood. Just a note: the cabin is located in a pasture and within a few feet of an electric fence on one side, which wasn't great for us as we have small children. However, the fall foliage and pond make it a pretty setting!

Camp Privately on Spring Fed Pond
Basically in a cow pasture with many farm animals that were loud early in the morning and dogs that were not leashed. There was a turkey that was very territorial and kept walking over to our site. There were friends of the owner driving up and down the driveway being very loud late at night/early morning. Description said pond was swimable but it was not, and there was no real fire pit to use. Also no waterfall access that was also listed in the description. The only convienient thing was that we were only a 10 minute drive to stony brook park.

Alexandra was an awesome host--very welcoming and helpful! And we LOVED going to sleep and waking up to the beautiful nature sounds of the frogs in the pond and the huge variety of birdsongs...very peaceful white noise! The farm animal noises added to the charm of camping at a little farm homestead. ... we used Alexandra''s as a base camp over-night stay for three nights, and made day trips to Letchworth and Stony brook state parks (wow, you have Got To See Letchworth!!).
