Located at the base of the property is The Hub, a cafe, pub, and bike shop featuring sandwiches, flatbread pizzas, salads, wine, all local craft beer and hard cider on tap. Drew Cappabianca, owner of The Hub, purchased the adjacent 210 acres for the purpose of developing a mountain bike park and hiking trail system. The park opened in June of 2018 and is now offering camping as another amenity for outdoor enthusiasts. Come stay, hike, bike, paddle, fish, eat, drink, and relax! Learn more about this land: You are welcome to camp anywhere you would like on Bartonville Mountain's 210 acres,, but you'll probably want to stay near treeline where you can take in a nice view of the Mill Pond and be close to your car. Not far from treeline is The Hub, a cafe, pub, and bike shop that serves as the lodge for local activity. Bathrooms are available to hipcampers during operating hours. The property is also home to professionally built hiking and mountain biking trails that lead to a gorgeous view of Brant Lake, and are free and open to the public. A dock and put-in for car-top boats on Brant Lake is also on the property. Van/RV Camping is available in a spacious (unpaved) parking lot adjacent to the parcel with room for even the biggest campers or vehicles with something in tow.

Hipcamp at The Hub: Bartonville Mtn
Checking in was seamless. Host also allowed us to check in early. As the listing suggests, it’s just a parking lot. It’s a public access parking lot for a trail head so, zero privacy. You are just paying to park overnight. Less amenities than a rest stop. It provides a last resort option for parking if you are hanging around nearby as all of the camping in the surrounding area is super privatized.

My first stop on a 3 month road trip and it was great!! Parking right next to trail and only 1 minute walk to where we camped but it was allowed anywhere within the trails (I believe). Stopped at the Hub for some local cider right in parking lot to the trail and had water access outside building which was nice. Would recommend for cheap, easy camping. Nothing fancy but was all we needed :)

Not a campground: dirty parking lot
Extremely misleading advertising. This is a parking lot attached to a bunch of wilderness. It’s only tent camping, no RV or trailer access. It’s not even on the main Brant Lake, it’s on a dirty pond. We left after one night and paid for proper camping elsewhere, rather than sleep in a parking lot with the drunks pouring out of the bar next door. No refund either.

Drew is a fine host. The camping was simple and convenient and I was lulled to sleep by a bard owl!

The Hub Lot: Exactly what we wanted
Sometimes you just want a quiet place to park... After hiking in the southern Adirondacks, we were shooting up 87 in our 20' van and pulled off for dinner in search of a place to stay. We ended up in Bartonville and had a tasty sandwich at The Hub which caters to hikers, bikers, and paddlers with wholesome food and a casual bar. We ended up staying in the Hub's parking lot for a midweek price of $20 vs. a lot more at local camp sites. The place was dead quiet by 8pm. For those hikers/bikers with time, the Bartonville Mountain trailhead is right there. Next time! In the morning, we were back on 87 in a couple of minutes. Couldn't have been a better stay. Props to Drew and crew.
