Site 2 The Gorge
My partner and I had a wonderful, peaceful nights stay camping at the Gorge! Wish we could stay longer however it was just what we needed to unwind and relax under the stars! We easily managed the drive down the property in our Mazda AWD and directions to get there were on point and easy to navigate. The property itself has jaw dropping views and left us in awe of its sheer size and beauty! There’s plenty of wildlife around, toilets were clean and easily accessible and camp sites were spaced well apart. Walking tracks are near by to explore and the river was a lovely bonus - it was still a little cold at the time of our visit, however we will definitely be back when the weather warms up to go for a swim! Shout out to the AMAZING Steve and Julie for being gracious, friendly hosts and helping us with our car trouble's we encountered on the way out! You both are stars! Will most definitely be back and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a lovely trip away in nature ✌️

Site 4The Rise
Fabulous spot!
Steve and Julie's place was fantastic. The perfect amount of secluded and spacious. There were only one other group there, so it was spectacular, and the river was so fresh and great for swimming in!

Site 9 Platypus Plateau
My wife and I loved camping at Platypus Plateau. There are other sites on the same property, all with river frontage.
There is a nearby toilet which was a short walk and although there were other campers, we had plenty of space.
There was plenty of wildlife and we sat for hours just listening to the bird life. A few kangaroos came out at dusk and we saw a wombat on the way in.
The hosts were lovely and communicated with us very well.

Site 2 The Gorge
Peace and quiet
Beautiful spot ! Nice walks along the river , we had a swim in the clear but cold river . The only sounds we could hear were birds and frogs and the occasional cow. Nice campfire ( enough wood around ) , nice view of pigeon house mountain . Lots of wombat holes and wallabies. It’s a long dirt road to get there, but well maintained! We had the place to ourselves, so not sure in summer when busy about the peace and quiet. No reception at all , but that’s ok . We could not find the meet and greet place, but drove straight to the spot we booked , all good 😊 thank you so much Steve and Julie for sharing your land . Cheers, Axel and Marjo

Phenomenal spot. We'll be back!
Amazing site, peaceful, great views. Only a short distance inland but felt a million miles away. Toilets were very clean and easily accessible for that sort of facility. Steve and Julie are lovely hosts.
