100 acres of secluded paradise with a kilometer of free flowing pebbled creek. Bound on two sides by the craggy escarpments of the Budgong and Morton National Parks there is ample grassland to give a feeling of space yet an abundance of trees to wander through as you engage with the tame wildlife and magnificent birdlife. Bring your mountain bike, fishing rod, swimmers, hiking boots, climbing gear, horse riding gear, or tennis racquet, and leave the kids in the play area while you sit by the creek and listen to the water tumbling through the rocks. If you are as intrigued by rare animals as we are, then this is the place for you. 63 Bird species, 24 mammals, 16 reptiles, and 12 amphibians have been sighted in the area (Clarke 2012) and this includes many rare and endangered species including the Brush-tailed rock wallaby, Giant burrowing frog, Gang-gang cockatoo, Glossy black-cockatoo, Koala, Little Lorikeet, Platypus and the Yellow-bellied glider. We only have three campsites at present, so you will be guaranteed peace, space and privacy. with a minimum of 400m between all sites. Please note, that your group must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, however fresh drinking water is available. Access is into a valley on a well maintained unsealed road but there are some minor causeways making it unsuitable for busses. An ordinary sedan will do for Billabong and Dad's camp sites but you will need some power for towing and a 4x4 to tow out in any rain. Riverbend site is only suitable for 4x4's and off-road camp trailers. You are a 40 minute drive from the sea (try the Shoalhaven 100 beach challenge https://www.shoalhaven.com/100-beach-challenge/ ) and just 15km from the historical town of Kangaroo Valley with its myriad of water activities, golf, wine estates, and quaint shopping. ttps://visitkangaroovalley.com.au/see-and-do/ Our neighbor offers horse riding experiences that are absolutely amazing. Dad's Camp
Secluded and private!
We loved camping at Wombat Hollow! Beautiful property with private and secluded campsites. Although 3 sites, each site was miles away from the others meaning you felt like the only ones there. Will definitely be coming back.

Billabong Camp - Wombat Hollow
Billabong Camp at Wombat Hollow was a stunningly picturesque property. Easy to find and very well sign posted. Beautiful swimming in the fresh water brook. Water allowed from the shed and WiFi at the shed with a password provided. This is truly a little slice of heaven, and our camp crew can not wait to return in the future. The host Vallance is super friendly, and very knowledgeable of his lovely property and all the flora and fauna which reside there. Thanks so much Vallance, we will see you again!

Billabong Camp
10/10 camp site
From the get go we enjoyed the drive in to the site. We didn’t get to checking out the other sights but imagine it can’t beat the billabong site. So private and the little playground is within viewing of this site. The creek was perfect for the kids to splash about and explore. We found many frogs and on our night walk along the path we saw lots of wombats. Our pup had the best time being able to burn her energy exploring and didn’t want to get in the car to leave. We will for sure be back to enjoy more of wombat hollow (the kids are already asking us when it can be)

Billabong Camp
Bush camping +
Wombat Hollow was an excellent property to camp at. It manages to balance true bush camping with some modern conveniences, like wifi at the shed and play equipment for children. The sites are well spaced and well cleared. The creek was nice to swim in and there was plenty of wood to keep the fire burning. Vallance was a great host and the directions made it easy to find.
