Great location near Hat Head and South West Rocks This lovely 4 acre camping spot is situated at Kinchela on the tidal Kinchela Creek which runs directly into the mighty Macleay river. You can fish or set a crab trap, kayak, paddle board, bring the tinny or just relax and enjoy the water view and surrounding farmland. A few shade trees and quiet surroundings makes this the perfect spot for your next getaway. Fire baskets available. Conveniently located only a 5 minute drive to Gladestone shops and hotel. There is a tap and hose (town water) on site. Safe surroundings for solo travellers. Last Minute Bookings Welcome subject to availability 😊Lovely creek frontage campsite located in a rural area at Kinchela. Surrounded by cattle and silage farms close to Hat Head and South West Rocks. Relax and enjoy the water view and farmland with fire pits available onsite. The convenience of Gladestone shops - bakery, butcher, general store, chemist, fuel and hotel are just 5 minutes drive away. Smithtown general store and hotel are also 5 minutes away. You can fish, drop a crab trap, paddle board or kayak directly from the tidal creek. The mighty Macleay river is accessible by boat in a no wash zone just 1 km away. Town water tap and hose on site for drinking and filling caravans.

Relaxing and pretty.
Great overnight spot to stop on our way heading north. Lovely view with a platform over the river. Worth spending a couple of nights if you have time to explore area.

Beautiful place, quiet with the exception of wildlife, host are great and very friendly we bought wood from them and they brought it to us and left us to enjoy the peace and serenity
