    Great location near Hat Head and South West Rocks This lovely 4 acre camping spot is situated at Kinchela on the tidal Kinchela Creek which runs directly into the mighty Macleay river. You can fish or set a crab trap, kayak, paddle board, bring the tinny or just relax and enjoy the water view and surrounding farmland. A few shade trees and quiet surroundings makes this the perfect spot for your next getaway. Fire baskets available. Conveniently located only a 5 minute drive to Gladestone shops and hotel. There is a tap and hose (town water) on site. Safe surroundings for solo travellers. Last Minute Bookings Welcome subject to availability 😊Please Note No bookings will be taken after the 9th of March 2025 due to the property changing hands. Thank you for your understanding. Cherrae and Mark Lovely creek frontage campsite located in a rural area at Kinchela. Surrounded by cattle and silage farms close to Hat Head and South West Rocks. Relax and enjoy the water view and farmland with fire pits available onsite. The convenience of Gladestone shops - bakery, butcher, general store, chemist, fuel and hotel are just 5 minutes drive away. Smithtown general store and hotel are also 5 minutes away. You can fish, drop a crab trap, paddle board or kayak directly from the tidal creek. The mighty Macleay river is accessible by boat in a no wash zone just 1 km away. Town water tap and hose on site for drinking and filling caravans.

    16 ft travel trailer
    Beautiful property with a gorgeous creek to set up on. Plenty of room between sites, feels like you are on your own. Fires allowed and there are pits for use. We loved the location to visit the nearby beach towns and national parks. We stayed an extra night as this was such a a great vibe. Pet friendly too, our fur babies loved it.

    Clean, quiet, peaceful and a lovely view. Windermere was a quick drive off the highway and if you want Seal Rocks beaches are worth a visit too.

    Overnight creek stay.
    16 ft car
    Its a great little location with shady trees and thick grass and its peaceful too. The creek didnt look easy to get into, so i didnt try but when the level is up theres a jetty to use. I just pulled in for the night. Only criticism was the tap was on the ground when it whould really be hip high... there was a cement sink sitting in the paddock too which could be used for it. Little things count.
