Tweed Valley Whey Farmhouse Cheeses is a small 100% Australian owned artisan dairy business. Family owned and operated, we run the 100+ head dairy herd which will supply the A grade quality milk for the gourmet cheeses.  The Dairy farm is located in the Burringbar Valley, just north of Byron Bay. Burringbar is situated at the entranceway to the Tweed which is also known as the Heartland of Australia's Green Cauldron. The sub-tropical climate allows for lush pasture to be grown all year round. Our pasture based grazing system means you taste the freshness in the milk which flows into the flavours of the local territory in the artisan cheeses. Aside from our 4th generation dairy farm and artisan cheese factorym, we also run a licensed cafe. No tents - RVs/caravans and camper trailers only. We offer several grassy sites on our property, situated in the lush green pastures of the Tweed Valley. We have a retail outlet onsite. Come and order a coffee, cheese platter, wine and local products to enjoy at your site! We're a great place for those travellers looking for a convenient stopover, in a beautiful setting, with nice additional touches.  We're close to National Parks, Murwillumbah Arts Precinct, Margaret Olley Art Gallery and Husk Distillery and just 20 mins drive to access the coast from Kingscliff to Byron Bay. We have a toilet on site. Your well-behaved pets welcome too but must be kept on a lead. No tents - RVs/caravans and camper trailers only. Camp, Ride, Eat, Smile!
Our second time camping here, and we are always so welcomed by Peter, who is super friendly and very accomodating. Great location for riders as entry to rail trail is across the road, finishing the ride off with freshly cooked food is fantastic at the cafe. Lovely grassy camp area with rolling hill views and cows to admire! Thanks Peter, we'll be back again soon!

This site is perfect for camping. We loved being able to have an open fire, the gorgeous views of the valley and cows, the delicious food from the cafe, the hospitality of the owners and the proximity to the rail trail. We’ll definitely be back!

Camping great at Tweed Valley Chees
Camping at Tweed Valley Cheese was great..Peter was welcoming and so helpful with any of our needs....great views of the beautiful countryside..large site with option for a pit fire, and clean convenient toilets nearby. Having direct access to the Rail Trail was perfect as we like to bike ride the local area. Also the Host operated a fantastic cheese factory so some delicious treats a few steps away.. will return!

It was lovely and quiet looking out over the paddocks watching the cows have their evening feed. Even though our stay was short I would happily go back and next time I would stay a bit longer Peter our host was very friendly and accommodating and made sure we enjoyed our stay
