The Freedom Farm has been in our family for nearly 50 years and we know it has a much longer history as a place of gathering, healing, learning and celebration. The spirits are strong here. We have been working the last few years on Rewilding the land and it is the healthiest it has been in my lifetime. Encompassing salt marsh, casuarina forests, open grassland and gumtree groves there is an incredible diversity of species to be found on this relatively small property. Bordered by Mangrove Creek it is protected on all sides by sandstone mountains yet remains sunny and open. A lush and powerful place.

Marabalang - Mangrove Place
We loved camping along the river. The rustic property had everything we needed and the sun sparkled on us whilst we enjoyed a spot of fishing. Thanks Gavin and Johanna for sharing your place.

We loved camping at the Freedom Farm! Johanna was a great host and as it had been a very wet week with a lot of rain, she allowed us to camp in another section of the farm which we really appreciated. We had group of 12 teenage boys and they had plenty of room to run around and play games. The location was peaceful and beautiful and less than an hour and a half out of Sydney. Highly recommend this place and we would happily camp there again.

Great camp with kids!
We had a great camp at Gumtree Grove. Was a group of dads and 6-7 year old girls and was perfect. lots of space for kids to run around, nice and private, and the river with canoes was great and kids loved it. Johanna was a really lovely host and was very accomodating. Would definitely visit here again!
