Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
The Macquarie River runs through the property, which is located at the southern end of the Macquarie marshes.
The property is heavily timbered, with clearings near the river that are suitable for pulling up a van, and there are plenty of great places to explore and relax.
You can fish, build a campfire, sit back and enjoy getting back to basics. The place is very untouched, so you'll really feel like you're disconnecting from the modern world.
You do need to be self-contained, with your own camp toilet, power and water, and take all waste when you go.Whilst you are welcome to choose whichever spot you want to set up, there are some ideal, level clearings close to the river which we would recommend. We only take one booking at a time, so you'll have the place completely to yourselves.
You'll need to bring everything you need wtih you, and take out all your waste and rubbish.
It's beautiful Australian marsh country, very vibrant, but please note, it's untouched and natural - you won't find manicured lawns and amenities here! To us, that's a large part of the appeal.
Campfires are permitted, plenty of fallen timber around the place you are welcome to collect for firewood.
