Our favourite HipCamp yet!!
We’ll absolutely be back to stay here again. Had the most beautiful weekend at this secluded little shack. Verandah was amazing and so roomy, loft and mattress were so comfy and cosy, perfectly equipped bush kitchen (don’t forget to byo salt and pepper!), waterhole was so beautiful and clean, firewood was plentiful!
We also got lucky enough to see platypus!
Thanks you so much for having us 🤎

Site 4
Amazing for every camper!!
We always have such a good time there! The site is always completely spotless and the wood we bought burned so well and long. We were able to walk down to the creek whenever we wanted and overall had a really nice time. We will always recommend Phils land!!

Great spot
Plenty of room for tents/swags and easy to find. Picturesque sunrise on top of the hill. Will go again!
Thanks Phil

Site 2 - Eastern Ridge
Great spot for a little getaway with a short walk to the river. Directions for getting there were easy and Phil met me on the track to the campsite to say hi. Thanks Phil.

River Shack
Needs a little Maintenance
The first time Scribbly Gum took my breath away was on arrival from the jaw dropping river views. The second time was half an hour later with the very obvious rodent presence within the cottage. We have used HipCamp quite a lot, and whilst The Shack is a wonderful hideaway with a very private feel, we feel that the neglected nature of the shack overtook any feeling of bang for your buck or peaceful oasis that this place has the potential to have. Even with a dog inside the house we saw (and heard) rats on multiple occasions and couldn’t even leave silicone based kid cups out of our cars without rats eating them let alone any food or the feeling of any crumbs which made the trip un necessarily stressful. We are not city folk and live in the country as well, but this was a little too much for us and definitely not worth the $$$. A little boarding up of holes in the house, a Band-Aid in the first aid kit or a proper drop toilet would have made this visit infinitely nicer. Whilst I understood there was only a bucket toilet here, there is something about driving 20 minutes with a bag of toilet waste in your car that makes the $142 a night seem a little rich…
