Sandy Bottom Farm backs onto the Goulburn River National Park and offers direct river access. The river is mainly shallow with some swimming holes and just lovely to float down. The property offers 900 acres combining open valleys and sand stone cliffs, bush land and the river winding through.Enjoy our riverside camping area, which offers shallow water and is great for children. In some spots there are deeper holes for swimming and fishing. ONLY SELF CONTAINED GUESTS pls There is a train line through property the drivers love to beep and say hello! Contained campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions in place. When the river is down there is a crossing to the majority of the 800 acres. Loads of wildlife and birdlife to watch throughout your stay. Sorry, no pets. 4WD recommended.

Riverside Camping
Private site right on the river. Yes there are trains on the other side of the river about every hour but for the other 59 minutes in the hour it is a minor point. There are no facilities but for the prepared camper it is a very good site.

Relaxing Weekend.
The site was exactly as described, right alongside the river, private, yes the trains came through but really not an issue at all and most gave a toot and wave. To sit around the fire and enjoy the night sky was bliss. Greeted on arrival and given directions to where to go. Owner called in for a beer and chat one of the days which we enjoyed. Will book again in the future. Ps- bring some aerogaurd as during the day there are plenty of flies.

Absolutely wonderful property and hosts I feel the need to take up squat as rights because I did not want to leave the property will be back

Riverside camping at its best
We absolutely loved Sandy Bottom. A secluded camp-site right on the river. Jules and Dave were fantastic hosts. Greeted us when we arrived, super friendly. Our van made it through the gate no problem. We had a fire in the pit provided and enjoyed the serenity. The water was a little chilly but still refreshing. Lots of little holes to swim in. Watching the birdlife everyday was beautiful. Loved waving to the trains as they passed by. We will be back. X
