Do you fancy camping on your own exclusive section of the Hunter River with no roads or traffic noise to spoil the serenity? You wont have to share your spot with other campers and you have direct access to the river. Rosebrook River Camp gives you your own private retreat, far away from the crowds but only a few minutes from the beating heart of the Hunter Valley. Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee. For those a bit more adventurous, we take you to our drop off point at Luskintyre and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 4 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going. Pets are welcome, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them. A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. Access to your camp site is past our house so we don't encourage coming and going during your stay, but you wont want to leave anyway! Happy naturing !
We had a superb 2 nights, thanks to Mick & Lucinda’s generosity. Glorious lawned area on the banks of the Hunter. An abundance of wild flowers, a shady tree and picnic table, make for an idyllic location.

Private Camp spot!
Great Location, very private! Mick was easy to get into contact with, fresh eggs were delicious and we were even gifted with some home made Sausages!! Grass needs to be maintained as was quite over grown. Dog friendly which was great!

Calm riverside
The camp site on Mick’s farm was clear and mowed with a wide path to the river. Communication was very friendly and provided clear advice. Welcome and goodbye were very personable, but you are left in absolute peace during your stay

Rosebrook River Camp
A peaceful, beautiful riverside site with access down to the river and not overlooked by any of the neighbouring properties. A lovely space settled in an expanse of fields and hills which is a stone's throw from Maitland although you would never believe it. We saw beautiful sunsets, and plenty of wildlife. Mick was a welcoming host and a pleasure to chat to greeting us on arrival and taking us down to the site. We really enjoyed our long weekend and a bonus that we could take the dogs. Thanks for allowing us to share a part of your country side life.

Lovely, peaceful, well maintained campsite. Our dogs love running around the camp area. Mick is a very respectful host and easy to communicate with. I fully recommend. Thank you
