Do you fancy camping on your own exclusive section of the Hunter River with no roads or traffic noise to spoil the serenity? You wont have to share your spot with other campers and you have direct access to the river. Rosebrook River Camp gives you your own private retreat, far away from the crowds but only a few minutes from the beating heart of the Hunter Valley. Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee. For those a bit more adventurous, we take you to our drop off point at Luskintyre and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 4 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going. Pets are welcome, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them. A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. Access to your camp site is past our house so we don't encourage coming and going during your stay, but you wont want to leave anyway! Just returned home from a couple of nights at Mick’s place…Mick was a wonderful host, clear instructions, easy to understand. The site was immaculately maintained and we had a great time in the river with our dogs and relaxing in the shade of the big willow tree.

Riverside solitude
Mick was a wonderful host. We really enjoyed the lovely riverside location that we had all to ourselves. Mick was so easy to deal with and friendly. We look forward to staying again.

Rosebrook River Camp
Rosebrook River Camp is a private beautiful private spot on the edge of the Hunter River. Mick is a great bloke who met us on arrival and after leading us to the campsite and making sure we were comfortable, left us in private to enjoy our stay. The camp site is mown with a clean fire pit and clear path down to the river, and the river was low and perfect for kids. We highly recommend Mick and the Rosebrook River Camp and will definitely be back.

Great place to stay
The host Mick was very welcoming. The grounds were kept very well could take my shoes off and walk bare foot. Good fishing and very private. Recommended for a great getaway.

Happy naturing !
We had a superb 2 nights, thanks to Mick & Lucinda’s generosity. Glorious lawned area on the banks of the Hunter. An abundance of wild flowers, a shady tree and picnic table, make for an idyllic location.
