Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Rocklee is on Wiradjuri land, a short drive from Capertee, surrounded by Gardens of Stone and Capertee national parks and the Mugii Murrum-ban State Conservation Area. Rocklee is 2.5 hours from Sydney and Dubbo. Rocklee has a mix of no-longer used paddocks, untouched bush, and two ephemeral creeks. Access is 4wd only, through the conservation area, which has beautiful pagodas and endless bushwalks. Hipcampers can choose from plenty of space where they'd like to set up camp. Please be careful as some paddocks are overgrown and fences have come down. Some areas of road across our property have wombat holes so drive slowly and be careful. There are no amenities here, campers need to be self contained and leave no trace.

Genowlan View - Paddock Site
Amazing natural amphitheatre. Great place to unwind and camp with plenty of wildlife nearby. Emma was delightful in communicating with us on how to get there with plentiful knowledge of local restaurants to check on the way out of Capertee.

Escape the city with ease.
What a wonderful place, the perfect getaway. Bell birds, whipping birds, kangaroo and wallabies. Clean and pristine area. Great place to explore with lots to see. Short drive to Capertee if you forget something like ice. The host directions and interactions were prompt and clear.

Great campsite
Incredible campsite, instructions from the host got us to the campsite easily. The hosts provided us with firewood which was great. Lovely view of the cliffs. Thanks Emma

Complete privacy - zero contact
We had an amazing stay. The property allows for complete privacy start to finish. You let yourself in, close the gate behind you and have an abundance of amazing camp sites and tracks to explore. Our dogs loved the area, lots of kangaroos and wombats for them to say hello to ( something to make sure your dogs are ok with otherwise leash them ). The whole drive was lovely through Lithgow and onto the dirt track. There’s plenty of firewood and if you love the outdoors you wouldn’t run out of things to do. The hosts directions were spot on down to the smallest details. I highly recommend using Google maps comming from Sydney. Apple Maps / Waze gives the longest route for some reason. We will definitely be back :)

One of the best
Probably one of the best hip camps we've been to. Such a beautiful property to explore and get off grid. Emma was great, directions were good and she was very responsive. A wonderful weekend away.

Stunning views, nothing but utter serenity, Emma was amazing and even popped in the first afternoon to check in and offer more firewood!!!! I could not fault it and plenty of room for a larger set up then ours.
