4WD /SUV - Rocklee is on Wiradjuri land, a short drive from Capertee, surrounded by Gardens of Stone and Capertee national parks and the Mugii Murrum-ban State Conservation Area. Rocklee is 2.5 hours from Sydney and Dubbo. Rocklee has a mix of no-longer used paddocks, untouched bush, and two ephemeral creeks (meaning they sometimes have water and sometimes don’t). Access is 4wd only, through the conservation area, which has beautiful pagodas and endless bushwalks. Hipcampers can choose from plenty of space where they'd like to set up camp. Please be careful as some paddocks are overgrown and fences have come down, and there are wombat holes. Some areas of road across our property have wombat holes so drive slowly and be careful. There are no amenities here, campers need to be self contained and leave no trace.

Fern Camp - Genowlan Base
After finding ourselves in the area, we went back for a second stay. Really love this spot and the solitude (Fern site but they are all very secluded and spaced out from the other sites). Emma is so accommodating and friendly. Gave us some great tips on local things to do in the area

Point Hatteras - Paddock + Bush
Great location. Great scenery. All peace and quiet. Loved it. Access is challenging 4 wheel drive recommended especially if towing a camper trailer.

Point Hatteras - Paddock + Bush
A secluded EM
We had a great time. Ended up staying at the Genowlan view site. We had a massive paddock to ourselves. Surrounded by stunning views and lots of kangas and a few wombats in the evenings. The route in to the property was pretty easy for our Subaru Outback. Just had to take care. Emma, the owner was very helpful and communicative and recommended a few places to visit too. One of which, Paddock Farm Market cafe on the Glen Alice Road, we found to be excellent. The owner even taught me to play Cribbage! We were there 5 nights. Took in all our water (70 L) as there is none. I'm looking forward to going back.

Genowlan View - Paddock Site
Great spot, beautiful surrounds and very private. Drive in requires a 4x4 but well worth it! Highly recommend.

Fern Camp - Genowlan Base
A true gem!
This is a true gem amongst the many Hipcamp properties we've visited. Huge plot of stunning land, secluded and well spaced sites, access via a conservation track means you're well away from everything which was exactly what we look for. Emma was a great communicator with crystal clear instructions. Loved this place and will be going back

Genowlan View - Paddock Site
Amazing natural amphitheatre. Great place to unwind and camp with plenty of wildlife nearby. Emma was delightful in communicating with us on how to get there with plentiful knowledge of local restaurants to check on the way out of Capertee.
