A beautiful, off grid, riverside campground with amazing swimming hole on private property. This private campground is located in North West NSW. 50 minutes from Tamworth. Conveniently located 20 minutes outside the pretty town of Manilla and right on the river banks of the Namoi River. Also 20 minutes from beautiful Warrabah National Park. The campground is tucked away in a little valley overlooking an idyllic stretch of windy river with an amazing swimming hole, sandy beach, tranquil rapids and a beautiful, mesmerising, majestic rock. We have four primative campsites suited to all types of large and small, self sufficient campers in RV's, caravans, camp trailers, vans and tents. All sites are unique and positioned to enhance space and privacy as well as proximity and views of the river. They all showcase the varying, natural beauty and characteristics of the landscape. You can also book our amazing, award winning glamping tent. We are not a party campsite. Our little slice of paradise is for peace and relaxation. We also need to respect and encourage the presence and abundance of birds and animals and continue to ensure it is a peaceful and quiet home for them. You can enjoy your music just as long as other campsites and the local wildlife can't hear it. Manilla, only 20 minutes away has two dump points and water refill stations as well as a good number of shops to cater to all your needs during your stay. We are not in a high traffic area so you may get to enjoy having the place all to yourself. Our campsites have good access for all types of camp set ups and are not impacted by flooding. Nor do they become boggy in wet weather due to the high sand content in our soil. You could be sitting on the warm sandy bank overlooking the river and being captivated by the surrounding beauty and the magnificence of the swimming hole. This secret little piece of paradise has been untouched for 40 years and is home to an abundance of birdlife. Birds include the colourful Rainbow bee eaters, Kingfishers, Superb Fairy Wrens, Eastern Yellow Robins, Red Browed Finch and many more. A magical place that will delight your senses and make you feel relaxed and at peace. BYO camp toilet and leave no trace. Fish in the river; cod, cat, golden perch and carp. Well behaved dogs on leash and supervised at all times are welcome. If you would like to enquire about having the place to yourselves send me a message. ACCESS CONDITIONS: To help you decide if your set up is suitable you can google Riverside Escape Camping Manilla and find 2 videos on 23 and 25 May 2022 taken of me driving up and down the track to the campsites in my old Ford Courier that is NOT 4x4. There are lots of other useful videos to get a good sense of our campsite. You will also get a sense of the distance between each site. We recognise the Kamilaroi / Gomeroi people as the traditional custodians of this land.

Amazing!
Exactly what was advertised. We spent Xmas there. Camping spot was nice a flat for the van, close to the beautiful river which we swam, fished and kayaked in. We saw goats, small Kangaroo’s and even spotted a Platypus which was amazing. My son’s highlight was finally catching the big Cod all by himself. I would highly recommend this spot. We will be back 😀

Perfect riverside escape
Riverside Escape is a beautiful retreat with seculded camp areas close to the river. It is the perfect place to relax or fish for cod and golden perch with plenty of carp to keep you busy reeling them in. The swimming hole is ideal to cool off during hot summer days or sit under the rapids. Caroline is the perfect host and makes you feel very welcome . I'll be back again to stay in this little slice of paradise.

Beautiful and relaxing as always. Caroline went out of her way to inform us of the weather report which indicated quite a bit of rain on the weekend we had booked, and offered for us to change dates or upgrade to the glamping tent for no extra charge. We ended up having a lovely time glamping in the rain.

Riverside escape, private site.
Caroline is absolutely lovely, Very detailed and precise with directions to her beautiful property and to the camp site, was wonderful. Beautiful morning views of the river from the private camp site, being able to wake up with views of kangaroos across the river was amazing. The river was beautiful, a little too cool for us non swimmers but cooled us down with just the feet in. We loved it. We definitely will be arranging a family trip up after Christmas. Thanks Caroline :-)
