Lovingly developed for 15 years as a mindful refuge & wildlife corridor by Victoria, a filmmaker/permaculture designer, the property was completely destroyed in 2018. Thus the mega bushfire cycle began impacting forever most of NSW's flora, fauna & people. Nature ultimately prevails & slowly the untamed terrain is healing. After studying at RMIT School of Architecture & Design for three years with the intention to design tiny living house systems better suited for harsh environments, Victoria has returned. Slowly she rebuilds a humble off-grid existence from the burnt-out bus fusing knowledge of building design with her food forests/aquaponics passion, keen to create an environmentally connected experience to share with like-minded others. 7 - THE HERMIT HUT
The Big Squeeze
Rugged beauty, away from civilisation, adventerous trails. Victoria has done wonders in restoring the land & living in harmony with it. There is so much to squeeze out in terms of adventure, be it hiking down to the river & exploring or just chilling around a campfire.

2 - BRUMBIES NOOK
Deeply refreshing country
I loved seeing wildlife, amazing views and stunning sunsets at Brumbies nook. A hike to the creek and a overnight stay by its banks determined me to return to explore and swim in this exceptional and dramatic setting Victoria, Mel and Liv brought stories out of me that I don’t know I had. They provided exceptional hospitality on their property.

7 - THE HERMIT HUT
Into the Wilderness
Another pleasant stay at the Monastery of 11 strings. Quiet, private, lots of tracks to explore, beautiful wilderness. The camps are always well prepared. Victoria, is all about sustained off grid living & how we can work with the environment for mutual benefit and it shows. She is very passionate about what can be accomplished, and it is always great chatting with her.

Off-grid for generations to come
Victoria's property is a well thought out experience to ensure all visitors have a truly off-grid experience without damaging the environment. In fact, Victoria has considered impact in everything that the campsite comes with and this makes the experience a lot more authentic. The location of the property is breathtaking and its excellent to know that this is being preserved and nurtured for generations to come.
