Campsites are in our lovely small manicured bush garden setting. It's a level, grass/lawn shaded area. There are 5 x 15 amp powered sites. Suitable for small quiet groups/ families. Not suitable for loud partying. The state forest is a short 10min drive away for bush walking, mountain biking and 4 wheel driving. Beach is 40 min drive away. We are located close to the Central Coast and Newcastle. (In Cooranbong ) Our camp sites have access to three eco toilets and only one shared shower, rubbish facilities and drinking water. (Campfires) we have 5 fire pits on some of our sites , fires are permitted during the winter months. We also have 2 x 4 star cabins which sleep 15 between them, they are listed separately on Hipcamp. However the guests from both the camp sites and the cabins have shared access to the pool and facilities. Which includes a large under cover patio area. FRIENDLY PETS welcome. Small kitchen with microwave dishwasher and cook top and fridge may be used . Please just clean up any mess you make. For the next guest All cleaning products under sink. WE HAVE 2 DOGS that are people friendly., who love to meet new fury friends , they do have the run of our property . As our property has a lot of maintenance lawns /gardens ; we may use mowers blowers etc , we will possibly maintain between 10 am to 2 pm If needed.

Our group recently stayed at Mist in the Trees in Cooranbong, and it was a truly memorable experience. The campground is absolutely beautiful, with lush surroundings that offer a serene escape into nature. The camper van areas were well-placed, providing a sense of privacy, yet close enough to enjoy the communal experience. The amenities were impeccably clean, which made our stay comfortable and stress-free. The entire campground is thoughtfully designed, making it an ideal spot for groups, couples, and families alike. The host was fantastic—so friendly and full of helpful information about the area. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Mist in the Trees and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-kept campground experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

WHISTLESTOP Cabin
We recently stayed at Mist in the Trees in Cooranbong, and it was a fantastic experience! Our group had a 2-bedroom cabin and two camper vans, and we couldn’t have been more impressed. The campground is absolutely beautiful, with surroundings that feel both serene and rejuvenating. The cabin itself was superbly decorated, blending perfectly with the natural landscape. It felt modern yet cosy and was equipped with everything we needed. The cabin area provided great privacy, and the amenities across the campground were spotlessly clean. It's the perfect spot for groups, couples, or families – really anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The hosts were incredibly friendly and informative, making sure we felt right at home. All in all, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Mist in the Trees to anyone considering a stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Great campsite!
It was absolutely a pleasure staying at Mistinthegumtrees. My partner and I arrived late on friday after work from Sydney. Carol met us at the entrance and directed us to our site and showed us the facilities which were great. Explored the property for walks on Saturday and saw some wallabies that were rescued before they were going to be released back in to the bush! Great experience and would love to visit soon again! Thank you for letting us stay!

Great weekend away
We had a lovely weekend with friends. The hosts were very friendly as well as the local residents of kookaburras and kangaroos. We stayed on a powered site overlooking the dam.
