Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Off-leash friendly
Pets can be off-leash at some sites.
Private and very easy to access caravan sites available just 20 minutes from Canberra City Centre and 10 mins to fuel, Aldi, takeaway etc. Plenty of room to turn around and sites are nice and level. Guests can enjoy our peaceful and scenic paddock away from it all. Plenty of wildlife to see, Birds, Kangaroos, Reptiles and Wallabies, the occasional Wombat and lovely easy walks. Try some yabbying in the nearby dam too if you like. We are just 7km from the Barton Highway and provide a very secure property that allows you to go off exploring with confidence. DOGS are permitted on LEAD only. Self contained vehicles. (toilet) required. Fires permitted when no fire ban, fire pits provided. Wood provided at cost on request.

Peaceful Campsite Near Canberra
We enjoyed the peace and quiet of this campsite, and, although there were 4 other sites on this property, it was very easy to assume you were on your own. The site was clear and flat, with easy access for our 8 metre caravan. Our host, Janice, was very welcoming and treated us to a dozen eggs from her free range hens. We caught up with friends in nearby Casey, as well as visiting Cockington Green, which is also only 15 minutes drive. We stayed for 3 nights, look forward to returning when next in the ACT, and recommend this property to anyone looking for a self contained, off grid campsite near Canberra.

perfect farmstay location
What a fantastic location! Despite our last-minute plans to camp here, the host was incredibly accommodating, greeting us upon arrival with a car full of firewood. He was quite friendly, engaging in conversation about our trip and visit to Canberra. The site is on a sheep farm, so there are plenty of sheep and lambs around, but they're quite timid and keep to themselves. There's an abundance of fallen wood for fires, so there's no need to purchase any from the service station. During our stay, we shared the space with two other groups of campers - one in a large caravan and a young family in tents. We spent the evening around the fire having great conversation, which truly enhanced our experience. The starry sky was breathtaking. The site is easily accessible by 2WD and suitable for any type of camping. I would definitely return.

Miranda Springs Site 3
Big level sites, easy to find and great access. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at site 3 in our caravan. It was very relaxing to sit outside by the campfire watching the sheep in the paddock. Site 3 gets the morning sun and beautifully shaded in the afternoon. We will be back!

Bush paradise meets Canberra
Site 2 was beautiful-Janice’s entire property is so accommodating. Natural bush setting with lovely sheep and birds whom visit. A nightly fire capped off each day for us. Close enough to Canberra for daily tours yet so quiet to sit and do nothing. Easily found and signposted. We will return!!

Perfect quite spot to stay
This was a great place to stay. Lovely flat sites, plenty of room. We stayed on our 20’ van. Nice trees around but still had plenty of sun for our solar. Will definitely stay again when back in the area. Cheers Chris
