Little Lakeside Gem
We camped at Michael’s place as a family group. The land is flat with some shade from trees along the northern boundary. There are ducks and a chicken coup which the kids loved. The kookaburras and magpie song in the morning gave it such a nice country feel. Yet, you are literally minutes from the lake and local beaches. We explored the nearby caves and found some pretty magical rock pools at Catherine Hill bay. There is also a Woolworths within proximity, 3-5 minutes drive, so restocking supplies was super easy. The property has a flushing toilet and proper cold shower cubicle, which runs hot for the first 2-3 mins from the line being out in the sun all day (which is nice!). Michael is a great host and was able to recommend local day trips. His dogs are very well behaved and sweet. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend this site for a camping getaway.
