McKenzies Mountain is run by a sixth generation pioneer family, and boasts a kilometer of river frontage, four kilometers interspersed with waterfalls and rockpools, over a hundred acres of pristine rainforest, and a 2000 ft elevation mountain peak. Plus it's home to 125 head of cattle. It's simply a magical country camping spot. There is plenty to do, including swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, and crystal fossicking. Just next door, within walking distance, is the Hare Krishna farm, where they run Hare Krishna farm tours, workshops, and Yoga retreats. Each camping area has been chosen to ensure space and privacy for all guests, good access and lovely views.

Peaceful serenity at James’ place on the banks of the Oxley river with a stunning view of Mount Warning. I highly recommend this pet friendly camp spot!

Tea Tree Camp
Perfect spot for a quick getaway.
Absolutely awesome spot. Only an hour drive (or less) from the Gold coast. Plenty of space for a big group, but simple enough for just a couple. Close to the main road (Tyalgum road) but you would never know thanks to the tree cover and awesome surrounding views. The owner is super nice, very accomodating and always available. Something I love is the firewood he has available is top notch hardwood and very reasonably priced. Definitely would camp here again.

Such a special place! Great views of landscape and wildlife. James is super helpful and kind. Unfortunately we were allocated the wrong site, but each site is just as good as the other!

Turtle Log Riverbank Camp
Not private but great view
It was a great spot on the water! So beautiful, fishing was eels and turtles, let the dogs run free and play, only thing is there is no privacy, was a bit disappointed.. we had a large gazebo and two 4wd cars giving some privacy from others campers along the water edge. Unfortunately other campers arrived and were looking down right on us on the higher ground camp spot.. they could see absolutely everything.. it felt a bit weird.
