Malabar Farm is a working Beef and Equine property situated in walking distance (600 metres to the Hotel) from the idyllic village of Uki. Steep in farming history, was originally a part of the logging district and later operated as a dairy up until early 2001. The farm nestles in to the foothills of My. Uki and the Twin Sister Mountains. The southern boundary is 2 klm of Tweed River. 3 permanent creeks meander through the property providing an abundance of wild life and camp sites to dream of. The long stretch of Tweed River frontage provides for fishing (bass aplenty), and canoeing. The equine training and breeding section of the farm is to be visited by appointment most days, and for safety reasons is not commonly accessible. Petting of small animals is an optionable extra for children, and children and beginners, can arrange a riding lesson in one of the 2 enclosed arenas, also an optional extra cost.

River Junction
What a stunning property to camp on. My partner and I were super pleased with our stay at River Junction with fantastic service and communication from the host, they were very accommodating to whatever we needed and although we were to leave by midday, they welcomed us to stay longer to explore a little adventure drive to a beautiful damn that we unfortunately couldn't make this time round to see but have every intention of returning back there to and will see then. The bathroom facilities were amazing! Very clean, tiled, flushable toilet with spray and great shower. A fire pit and wood was supplied which was very thoughtful by the hosts and with the picturesque views and being able to camp right by the river to hear the stream was the best It was exactly the kind of relaxing weekend that we needed. Thanks William and Kylie for your hospitality, we will definitely be back to explore the rest of your property.

Front Farm View
What a stunning location! Walking distance to the Mt Warning pub, set right on top of a hill with 360 degree views. None else in sight but a few cows. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Hidden gem
OMG. What a fantastic time we had. From the communications we had to the lead up to our stay. To the very end. The drive into the property was absolutely spectacular we have a 15ft hybrid camper which fitted perfectly on the site. Would be a bit hesitant about taking in anything bigger. We needed 4wd high to get in as we did spin in places but is very doable for a beginner 4wd with a van. The site is very very private and secluded. William left us to our own devices for the entirety of our stay which was fantastic we came and went as we pleased. Plenty to explore with the river right on your door step plenty of spots to jump in and have a dip even if you forget you cosie’s (yes it’s that private) this is a must stay place you will not regret it. We thank William for offering up and sharing this hidden gem for the world to see. We will definitely be back. This is a great base camp if you are doing the rail trail as we did.

River Junction
Fantastic location. Lovely owners
River junction, is exactly that. Located in the junction of creak and the river Tweed. No better place to sit by the river with a fire, enjoying a glass of your favourite drink. The views of Mount Uki and the Sister's are stunning. The facilities are a short walk away and are very nice. Lovely hot shower. The site is working land and there are all the sights and sounds of such. What an awesome sight to see the cattle being rounded up by dogs and driven by the owners on horseback. The owners are a lovely family who are always happy to chat and help, as well as share their knowledge of their land and surrounding area. We will be back.

River Flat
Lovely spot, very private we didn't spot another group the entire trip. A small drive through the paddocks to get to the site, hosts were really helpful in getting us there. Was stinking hot, a quick trip across the dried river bed got us to a great swimming spot which was beautiful. Camp site is waterfront but the quick walk to the running water is worth it.
