Karoola Station is a working family farm, lucky enough to have frontage and easy access to the Murrumbidgee River near Gundagai in NSW, halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. We are located a short 13km drive off the Hume Highway and only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga the largest inland city in NSW. Not only is Gundagai the gateway to the Riverina but the Snowy Mountains Alpine area is within a day trip from here too, making it a great central location. We are sheep graziers, and in season, visitors can observe the newborn lambs or freshly shorn sheep. There are no amenities available, self contained camping only. Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Good access for caravans Karoola gives you the opportunity to fish, swim, boat or kayak on the river. You can walk along the riverbank or up onto the rocky outcrop for a great view of the Murrumbidgee floodplain and surrounding farming country or perhaps you would just like to relax with a good book and drink under the huge gumtrees on the riverbank in peace and quiet.  Dogs permitted (see rules).

Camping with view
From the moment you drive up the driveway to all the way to the river you feel like a real sheep farmer. 🤭 driving amongst the sheep was the kids best part. such a beautiful spot to camp for the night. We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. River was easy access to get to and kids had a nice swim. Would definitely be back

Karoola Lagoon
Murrumbidgee River at its best
Beautiful spot by the river. A little rough to get to sites so slow is better. Saw the most enormous Murray cods (3 at least) in the water, who weren't stupid enough to nibble my fishing lure!. Lovely quiet spot with phone reception.

Great space right on the river. Was lucky enough to have the whole place to myself but plenty of space for others.
