"Jindalee" is located on a 500 acre property, 26kms east of Glen Innes on the headwaters of the Severn River, home to a number of platypus. Being situated only 2kms off the Gwydir Highway, access is very easy. Please call Bob for directions prior to arriving- 0409 155 147. We are 40kms from Gibraltar Range National Park, pet friendly, and offer secure camping and a place to leave your pets so you can explore the area. We offer a pet minding service during the day for a small fee for those who want to visit the National parks. There is a bitumen road to the boundary and then an all-weather gravel road to the site. One camping site is beside the river and the other is a choice of mown spots for you to select from. We offer campfire pits and free wood - limited amount collected beside each fire pit. More firewood can be purchased from Bob, our Caretaker. There is abundant wildlife, including Platypus and a pleasant track along the river, wandering in among the granite rocks, to a picnic place.

Amazing location and beautiful views. Peaceful and quiet and the only campers there for the night. Caretaker was very welcoming and showed us to site with firewood ready! Would definitely stay again.

Jindalee River Camp Site 1
This place is so beautiful! The campsites feel super private. Bob the caretaker was very friendly and even had a fire going for us as we arrived after dark in the freezing cold. Absolute legend! We honestly can't fault this campsite. We will definitely be back if we are ever in the area again!

A beautiful spot and Bob and his dog were very welcoming hosts. Awesome spot to have a camp fire with heaps of birdsong and many Roos observed nearby. Thanks Duncan
