Ironbark Riverside Retreat is located in the heart of the beautiful Mid North Coast. It is situated on a peaceful 5 acre, river front hobby farm and is ideal for a weekend get away or en route to - any where else in NSW! The camp site is on the river bank furnished with a gazebo and 2 tables, making it a lovely place to set up, cook over a fire, star gaze, swim, canoe or fish. Being only one site at present you can be assured of peace and privacy . Keep warm by the fire at night and enjoy the fresh clean air away from the city life. Firewood can be purchased by the barrowload. Just ask your hosts or purchase with your booking. As we have chickens, ducks, turkeys and horses on the property, we cannot allow guests to bring pets. 15 minutes drive South East will take you to Port Macquarie, local surf beaches, shops, cafes and restaurants. 15 minutes South West will take you to Wauchope with it's quaint shops, sumptuous bakery and the wonderful hinterland. Its just a short walk to Stoney Aqua Park, state forest walks (also great for bike riding), Ricardoes strawberries and tomatoes. Wildnets and skirmish are also nearby for the energetic; Otherwise relax in your deckchair and enjoy the serenity. As we have livestock on the property we cannot allow campers to bring their own animals. The site is roughly 20 meters sq. Guests can swim (at own risk), fish (BYO gear) canoe available for hire or just sit by and take in the picturesque view of the Wilson River. To hire a canoe call Krysia or Tone a few hours in advance if possible. We have great local coffee and a commercial esspresso machine so just send a message if you'd like to purchase one in the morning . sorry - we only provide local organic whole cows milk for the coffee. This is a great location to try out some of the local mountain bike or gravel rides in the area or head to the beach for a surf. Keep warm by the fire at night - let us know if you need wood, eggs or other local produce. There is also the Telegraph Point Sports Club across the road in case you need some last minute beverages or a meal prepared for you.

Unwind and Relax!
19 ft Class B
Great place to unwind and relax in a private setting by the river. Trees provided great protection from the sun and wind. Horses were very friendly and hung around us all weekend. Great hosts, thank you so much for sharing this beautiful parcel of land with us, we had an awesome time and will be back for sure.

Such a great camp site to visit right next to the river. Super friendly hosts (and their pets)! We had chicken and duck eggs and some sourdough bread from a local bakery. A great place to relax and unwind. Only a quick drive to Port Macquarie too. Thank you for having us. We will be back soon!

Get Away From The Crowds!
16 ft Class B
We enjoyed every minute of our secluded stay … so lovely to know we would be the only campers and have the place to ourselves. Krysia and Tony are lovely hosts as are the dogs and horses that come to visit. Fun times in our blow up boat rowing up the river and cooling off with a swim. Duck eggs for breakfast and jacket potatoes in the camp fire. Ventured to the aqua park up the road … great if you have kids to entertain but we spent a lot of time bobbing in the water in our life jackets lol. A perfect place to unwind after Xmas!!

We had such a wonderful time at Ironbark Riverside! The owners were so warm and welcoming. We even had fresh duck eggs and sourdough hand delivered right to our camp. The location itself was incredible. The grassy private camping area was lovely, with plenty of trees to protect us from the wind, and the river was perfect for both swimming and fishing. Even though it rained during our stay, it didn’t take away from the experience. Sitting by the river with a camp chair, just taking it all in, was so peaceful. We loved how convenient everything was too. There was a pub right across the road and a servo within walking distance, which made things easy. Plus, it was only a short drive to Port Macquarie and other towns, so we could explore a bit before coming back to our quiet little oasis. Even with the weather, this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable camping trips we’ve had. We’re so grateful to the lovely owners and can’t wait to return.

We really needed a break from the hustle and bustle of life and found that the couple of days we spent at Riverfront South gave us just that. The lawn was freshly mowed and we were the only ones at the camp spot which made the trip even better. The owners were lovely greeting us on entry and exiting, and yet leaving us to enjoy their property
