Located in the heart of the Hunter Valley. Come stay with us at the Hunter River bush camp, located on our 20 acres! The campsites are located on our lower paddock - secluded and private. You will be likely not see another human in your time down there. Theres plenty of space for large groups and vehicles. IAs to maintain the private and secluded nature of this site, we have limited the space to 1 site only so youll have the place to yourself! The Hunter River is a short 5min walk down the stone steps, where you can fish and swim. The property has good access - less than 10mins from Hunter Expressway. 1hr40mins from Wahroonga, 40mins from Jesmond Full phone coverage on all parts of the property Fires are permitted - firewood available for purchase during booking. Dogs are allowed. Note that there are no toilets provide, this is a bush camp.Hunter River bush camp is a secluded and private bush camp, with good access to the Hunter River. Full phone reception, and 10 mins off the hunter expressway The river is a 5-10 min walk from the campsite. The path is made up mainly of stone stairs There is a fireplace and an Ozpig for guests use. There is only one site, so guests will have the whole place without neighbours The site is a short drive from amenities including shops, restaurants and wineries. However private enough that you will not see anyone during your stay. Dogs are welcome, we suggest keeping them on a lead as we get lots of roos - however not mandatory. Firewood can be arranged upon booking

Hunter River Bush Camp
Absolutely perfect
An amazing spot very close to Sydney and surrounds. We stayed for a single night getaway with our dog and it was perfect. No livestock, just some roos. Relatively easy to get into the camp ground down a bush track. We got in with our 2WD station wagon no probs. Incredibly private. There’s only one camp spot and you have it to yourself. You won’t see another person while you’re here. This one is for self-contained campers only. There’s nothing here other than a clearing to roll out the swag and put up the camp chairs, a bush track and a river which was absolutely perfect for us. Phone service everywhere, including down at the river. Totally dog friendly. No thistles or massive prickle patches. Perfect for the four legged companion. If you’re going in summer, bring some earplugs for the arvo cicada session. They’re very loud but are quiet once the sun goes. Christian is a legend, amazing instructions and was super helpful with any and all requests. 10/10 would recommend (but again, don’t expect a loo or shower block).

Nice spot, some good tracks around and down to the river where there's tonnes of open space (if the river isn't up too high). Host was great.

Hunter River Bush Camp
Amazing private and peaceful spot, directions were easy to follow to the campsite and very accessible by 2wd. The campsite is beautiful and well maintained, the firepit and stove were great. Plenty of beautiful tracks to walk near the river.

Hunter River Bush Camp
Perfect place
Perfect place in the Hunter region for camping. Close to shops and ammenities. Very quiet at night. Not much wildlife at the time we camped. Ground is a bit sloped so hard to find a flat level surface for the camper trailer but made do with what we had. Instructions were clear and Christian was helpful and answered all questions. Thank you, would book again when staying in the Hunter region.

Private retreat
Lovely stay on a beautiful property! Very quiet and isolated! Didn’t see anyone else the whole time. Kindly provided wood for a small fee. Beautiful river nearby. Look forward to staying again soon!
