Our Hopkins Heights Bus is perched high on a hill on our 44 acre property in the North of the Tweed Valley looking out to the north over the McPherson Range. The Tweed Valley, effectively a caldera, was formed from the now extinct volcano of Mount Warning. Traditionally known by the first nations Bunjalung people as Wollumbin. The Tweed Valley is blessed with art galleries, beautiful beaches, rainforests, great food, waterfalls, hiking trails, tranquil villages and the list goes on or you can just stay on our farm and enjoy the peace and quiet with the cows and chooks. Our closest village is Chillingham, about a 10 minute drive, which has a general store for all your basic supplies (food, fuel, bottle shop) and the famous Banana Cabana fruit shop. Murwillumbah is around a 30 minute drive. You will be staying in a renovated old school bus.It is completely off grid with solar 240 volt power, gas hot water/ stove and gravity feed rainwater. It has a king size bed with linen provided, shower, kitchen, bar fridge and microwave. The Bus site is up a steep all weather gravel road for the last 300 meters so only accessible by 4x4/ All Wheel Drive vehicles. We are happy to assist with transport for luggage/groceries etc in our AWD but if you wanted to come and go it would be a short walk to your vehicle. Our old farm shed is nearby which can be used to stretch out although it does leak a bit in heavy rain so you will have to pick your spot. There is a flushing toilet in the shed using dam water.Firewood is provided for a small camp fire.

Slice of heaven
Such a beautiful location and quirky accommodation that has every home comfort you can think of. We loved the comfortable bed, with views across the fields and the majestic springbok mountain. With bubbly in the fridge, snacks,.chocolates, games, reading material, alternative milk, BBQ equipment and a fire pit and lovely swimming holes for the hot days. Best of all great hosts with attention to details, thoughtfulness and care for there guests. Thank you so much ❤️

Stunning!!! Our 2 days of paradise started with Adrian’s warm hospitality and he really made us feel right at home from the start. The bus was really well laid out and had everything one could need, it was filled with snacks that really added to the warmth of our experience. We went there for the view, and WOW, did we get an absolutely stunning view. This was one of the most relaxing breakaways in a long time. Thank you once again Adrian!

unique
we stayed here 1 night but I wish it was 1 week, the views are amazing especially by the fire pit. the buss has EVERYTHING you need and the pig pen has heaps of fun games to play, perfect for a family. there is a little shop and pub down the road which makes it convenient for a feed. Adrian is extremely helpful and caring and gives heaps of privacy, we had a few tasty snacks left out for us and some beautiful fresh eggs in the fridge. couldn't jave had a better experience, definitely a one of a kind spot...cant wait to go back
