The ultimate Farm Solitude Camping experience. If you want to get away from it all and relax in a secluded Campsite surrounded by beautiful Native Bushland or explore miles of trails, gullies, caves, Flight Springs Creek and the exquisite Bow River, take some time to camp at Hillside, which is a remote 2000 acre working cattle property situated 23km west of MERRIWA, 17 km off the Golden Highway, adjoining the Goulburn River National Park. All sites are in secluded area's far away from each other but at busy times people may pass by some sites to access the river. There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves with open area's. There is an abundance of wildlife to see. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions. Cut firewood is available on request. $20 lots, cash only. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. Some sites can be accessed by 2WD. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD (Low Range) access ONLY as it is extremely steep with loose gravel and rocky outcrops. AWD (All wheel drive) vehicles will not get back out. Outback 4WD tracks are now open for campers to explore as well as Hidden Valley, which has walking trail access to the Bow River. "Gully View Campsite" is the closest site to the property entrance. Great for overnight stays. It can be set up as a communal campground for large groups. Guests are required to be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. *Most Campsites now have toilets. Phone Service is very limited in this area. If you email a request, it may take a few hours for us to reply. We also do Vinyl, Canvas and Leather repairs during your stay in most cases. WARNING: There are many areas of cliff edges and shear drops! Children must be supervised at all times while exploring these areas. There are also dams at or near some of the campsite areas that could be dangerous if children wander off exploring alone.

Some lovely little walks near the camp sites aswell as a 4wd track which is sign posted and are both on owners property. Eagles View
We stayed @ Eagles View at Hillside Camp on Bow River…..we had a great time! The property was well signed and organised….our host (Dave) was really helpful, he went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and well set up. Eagles View was a fantastic spot to camp…..360 degree views of the surrounding area including the Goulburn River National Park, a beautiful sunset every evening, the stars shining brightly of a night and a cool breeze after a hot summers day. We did a few day trips during our stay to the country town of Coolah, Coolah Tops National Park and Cassilis….. really worth a look. The bakery at Merriwa was very popular too….the best cheese & bacon pie ever! Overall…..we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this property.

Gully View
Best Spot EVER
This place is a hidden gem! A must stay location, beautiful spot and amazing friendly owners. Our kids said it was the best place they have ever camped! We were lucky enough to have a clear night so we had an awesome view of the stars and beautiful weather. Easy to access, lots of room and different spots to stay around the farm. Very clean and tidy well looked after camping areas. Bow River was a lovely spot to drive to in our 4WD for the kids to swim and fish. HIGHLY recommend this place for anyone looking for the best spot around to stay at with family or friends with your camper or tents. We will definitely be back Thanks so much David

Potato Gully
A Day in the Gully
Wife and I enjoyed this peaceful setting. We were escorted to camping spot, about 10mins on a 4WD track. Dave was thorough on campground expectations and emergency procedures. This experience connects you to country through stunning Caves, wildlife and moderate exercise walks. There's also toilet facilities and firewood provided. The walks are easily accessible, signposted and blue ribbons mark the path. Bow River cave is remarkable so take a picnic lunch and explore the area. You can also loop back to Potato Gully. There are two more caves to view but we only visited one located on the slope, so take care. Saw many wombat burrows - had no idea their droppings were cubed! To top off stay, we woke up to a Kanga family not far from our tent and enough wood for a continental breakfast. Definitely promoting this place and will be visiting again.

Excellent
Peaceful and quiet. I had this place to myself, it was beautiful with signs showing you where to go and toilet's at every campsite. A wonderful place to camp. Dave the host was great, i booked last minute and it wasn't a problem, he was there to meet me and show me to my camp ground and even had firewood for me. I will be back for sure.
