Byron Bay hinterland campground. Self check in- just follow the instructions. Check out us on Instagram @glencairnestate We just opened a coffee trailer at the entrance of the property - serving premium Barefoot brew (local coffee roaster) coffee every morning 6am to 1 pm. Just 8 km from Byron Bay - 10 minutes drive along a scenic country road, with gentle hills around and magical views. Near all the Byron incredible activities, such as great restaurants, waterfalls, beaches. Well positioned between the beaches of Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads. Incredible privacy and quiet. There are goats (with babies) in a paddock next to Site 2, and a horse paddock with 7 horses in front of the tent only sites (7 to 10). We do have a water tap though to fill your tanks and a couple of electric plugs to charge your essentials (check the small old shed close to Site 1). We have 10 different sites, 6 for caravan / RVs/ tents and 4 for tents only (with access only with 4WD) in two different spots of the property - for a total of 20 guests max. It is a former cattle farm that is being currently reforested to the original Big Scrub rainforest. The proceeds from Hipcamp are used to reforest the land. PLEASE make sure to take your garbage away and remember the campsites are for fully contained campers only (no toilets on site). You NEED to be fully contained to stay in the property. You can enjoy walking around and explore the magic sunsets of the Byron Hinterland. there are a fee billabong/ creeks, with the biggest one next to site 7/ 10 (there is a trail from there).

Site 8 - tents / 4WD only
Beautiful spot, we camped on site 8 which is up on the hill. We were the only ones there & we loved the serenity but there were 3 other camping sites in the same small area which I felt was too many for a small space. Other than that, it was a great & coffee van at the gate is very handy & nice & close to Byron.

Site 3 - self contained RVs /tents
Good tent Camping but charged 2x
Tent camping on Giorgio’s land was really good. However, they charged us twice and nobody supported us to solve. I tried to call, email, messages, everything but any answer. About the site is very clean and spacious, the location is easy, any noise but peaceful. The nearby sites didn’t bother us with anything, all guests were lovely and respectful. The best part was the campfire and the incredible view of the sky, I’ll never forget.

Site 1 - self contained RVs/ tents
Overall had a great experience. Directions were easy and camping sites are easy to locate. Each spot a firepit and the property had a coffee van at the front which was great. 15mins to Byron Bay. Water was available at a shed with some power outlets which was handy. Sites are quite close together and overall would say it’s slightly overpriced for what you get but definitely a good spot to go. No issues.
