*XMAS 2024* 27th Dec 2024 to 2nd Jan 2025 - FULLY BOOKED! Beautiful property, nestled into the Colo Valley, next to the pristine Colo River. We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a quiet refreshing dip with a beverage or two. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large spaces with varying distance between sites to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited beside the river spots are available. If you are planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. (Saturday night 2 night minimum) Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please check with Hosts prior to booking, as conditions and a charge applies. Please ADD EXTRA at checkout for dogs... $20 per dog per visit There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. There are fire drums available on each site, most with grill plates - subject to RFS bush fire danger ratings on the day. There are three communal flushing toilets and two awesome hot water showers! ALL waste is to leave with you! There are local bush walks through National Parks and great places for mountain bike riding although be mindful of holiday traffic in peak times on our local dirt roads. The local shop, Colo Riverside is open 4 days a week Thurs-Sun, just 10kms up the road providing last-minute supplies, ice, bottle shop, and cafe services. Please note: Due to our location bookings may be canceled at short notice in times of bad weather due to flooding, limited access, fire or flood warnings. We trust you will understand we are only looking out for your safety and of course, Hipcamp credits will be arranged. We would like to share our beautiful property nestled in the Colo Valley with cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas and our PRIVATE access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Family friendly nature escape
Yara was such a great host- great communication, went above and beyond to make sure our birthday cake was looked after, was around each day onsite available to talk to campers. Showers were amazing hot with great pressure. Showers and toilets were kept clean and well stocked with good quality toilet paper. The area itself is beautiful, surrounded by mountain views, quiet and peaceful. Lots of shallow areas all along the river, a tyre swing and rope swing and freshly flowing clean water all makes for a great family friendly place for young kids. Just half an hour from Windsor. No mobile reception onsite. Bush turkeys peck through plastic rubbish bags and eat whatever food you leave accessible to them. No water at sites E1 or E2 but there is closer tap around near site ?7. Beautiful bird calls. Didnt see any other wildlife like possums, snakes or wombats here. No shade/tree cover at sites E1 or E2 so bring your own gazebo. We had a 35 degree day and went to the river twice, once after breakfast and again after lunch. Great place for bigger groups too as theres tons of space and flat areas available. The road in isnt too winding or gravelly, so was good for my car-sick prone kid. Would definitely visit again.

Review for DeView Campsite
Our recent stay at DeView campsite was simply unforgettable. Situated right by a beautiful river, the location is breathtakingly peaceful, with nature all around creating the perfect getaway. It’s an ideal place to unwind and connect with the outdoors. The facilities were exceptional for a campsite. The toilets, showers, and washing sinks were all clean, well-kept, and made our stay even more comfortable. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the site, which was a huge plus for all of us. From the moment we arrived, Yara (the host) was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure everyone had what they needed and offered excellent advice for exploring the area. Everyone in our group agreed—this has been the best campsite we’ve ever experienced. The combination of a stunning location, farm animals, and Yara’s exceptional hospitality made it a standout. We’ll definitely be back, and we highly recommend DeView to anyone looking for a memorable camping experience!
