Dalmoak Bush Retreat is located just 15 minutes from Stanthorpe on a very quiet country road. This is working a cattle and sheep property. The property is 3000 acres of a mixture of open grazing land and moderately timbered to heavily timbered land. The land ranges from reasonably flat areas to undulating areas, there is also quite steep rocky areas which if you venture up on foot will reward you with spectacular views. It is the ideal spot for getting away from the rat race and just relaxing under the stars. We have slashed a number of spacious areas where camping is allowed and are continually developing the sites for camper comfort. Guests are required to be fully self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. In the surrounding area you can go for a walk, ride your push bike and also enjoy looking at the stars at night around your campfire (no light pollution here). Please note there are 2 dams close by therefore parental supervision of small children required. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times to protect our livestock. Dalmoak Bush Retreat
Camping at Dalmoak
Dalmoak was a great place to stay. We only stayed for one night, but it was a nice quiet, beautiful spot to set up camp for a night. We were greeted on arrival by the owners Robin and John. John bought down some fire wood and cut it up for us so we could use the fire pit provided. We were surrounded by a couple of cows and their babies and they were very friendly and curious.

One to remember
Beautiful property, easy to find, very peaceful. Hosts are welcoming and accommodating, which was most appreciated. Great spot, close to Stanthorpe and surrounds. We hope to return.

A little piece of paradise
We were greeted on arrival by Robin on horseback which set the tone for our stay. Robin and John were very welcoming, with firewood already gathered/cut near the fire pits, and instructions on how to find a spectacular waterhole hidden on the property. Even the cows wandered up to our camp to check us out under the cover of darkness. We loved every minute, and the best part was we had the entire place to ourselves for 2 nights. Thanks for a wonderful stay. 5 🌟

Caravaning
We had a lovely stay. This is a great location for big and small groups. John keeps the grass mown and the free firewood stocked. Its a fantastic view and very peaceful. John is a born and bred local with intimate knowledge of the area and some great yarns about the settlement of his family property.

Dalmoak Bush Retreat
A hidden gem on the QLD/NSW border
Robin and John were absolutely lovely and helpful, offering suggestions about the area that we could visit. With no other campers around, we enjoyed the privacy (but even then, the campsites are a good distance from each other!) with beautiful weather and were very thankful for the firewood. Thanks so much for having us! We will be back again!
