Cedar Creek Farm is a hidden gem tucked along the banks of Cedar Brush Creek, right on the Great North Walk. Spread across 100 acres of lush pastures and rainforest, it offers plenty of secluded, spacious campsites. The creek features a 20-foot deep swimming hole, perfect for cooling off in summer, and it is packed with bass for a little catch-and-release fun or a BBQ - your choice, but the fish might prefer the first option :) The farm borders the Watagan and Olney State Forests and is close to mountain bike tracks, Treetops Adventure Park, Amazement Farm, and horse riding spots. Packed with flora, fauna, and the elusive platypus, Cedar Creek Farm is ideal for nature lovers, artists, photographers, or anyone in desperate need of a quick city escape. And the best part? It’s just 1 hour and 30 minutes from Sydney and Newcastle—close enough to flee, far enough to forget! It’s a retreat for you and your furry friends, so bring your pup, horse, bunny, or guinea pig...basically, if it fits in the car, it’s invited for the adventure :) The farm hosts only one booking at a time, ensuring complete privacy.Bass Billabong is one of the biggest river holes along Cedar Brush Creek, perfect for bass fishing and swimming. With only one booking at a time, you’ll have the whole place to yourself— just sweet nature. The site comes with a massive fire pit (firewood included), a picnic table, and chairs, plus loads of room to set up your perfect weekend escape. It’s just 1 hour and 30 minutes from Sydney and Newcastle—close enough to bolt, far enough to disappear!

Bass Billabong
We had a three day stay at Bass Billabong, and will definitely be back again. Suzy was a perfect host supplying wood next to the fire pit and also plenty of drinking water. Thanks Suzy

Lovely private site for a long weekend getaway from the city. Bonus to catch some Bass! (catch & release in winter) Suzy was a great host and even left wood, water and a large table out for us. We’ll be back for sure.

Magical and dog friendly!
This was our second time visiting Bass Billabong and we had such a wonderful time!! Suzy is always so welcoming! The land is beautiful and sitting by a warm fire or the billabong is absolutely magical. We loved seeing the cows and the amazing birds and will definitely visit again! Suzy makes the camping spot so dog friendly and my dogs are always happily exhausted by the end of the day. :-)

Suzy's land was one of my favourites to date. Beautiful grassy area perfect for the 5 of us close to a little patch of water filled with fish. Area was extremely secluded with a great sized fire pit that you will definitely need in the winter. Suzy was a great host, informing us about the weather and road closures in advance before introducing us to our area on the day. She provided a table, firewood and plenty of water to make us feel more comfortable and even went as far as rescheduling a few things to maximise our time there. It really added to the trip. I'll 100% return again in the summer
