Family-friendly
Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is great for families and kids.
Dry weather access only. If there have been showers in the area, please contact prior to booking to ensure our roads are open. Carinya is a 6600ac farm catering for campers who want to experience our style of station life. We run Merino Sheep for wool production, trade lamb sales, dryland cropping and much more! The time of year, family commitments and the weather will determine what's going on at the station. We encourage guests to be involved. You're expected to be friendly, have an interest in farming and how we work. We welcome all semi self contained campers. There are washing machines available and you are welcome to water the trees with your grey water. There is also bore water available to top up if needed. We are a family farm with family values, offering country hospitality.  Note: This is a farm located on the edge of the outback. Please expect: Dust, amazing sunsets, flies, fabulous hospitality, burrs, quirky animals, unreliable weather forecasts, tranquility and ambience.

Great spot in lightning ridge. The kelpies had lovely walks and we had a lovely private site away from other campers. Top loos and wonderful hosts. Thanks for having us and see you again soon.

Not to be missed
What a great outback experience! Highly recommended end-to-end. Great hosts with great humour and what a location. This is red-dirt outback at its best. Become one with nature and watch an amazing star filled sky at night. You are missing out if you don‘t go and you are in the area.

Great stay!
Such a great stay for when visiting Lightning Ridge. The open space made it so relaxing. My kids had fun jumping on the ninja strap. Kelly did a great tour of the farm and the kids asked lots of questions. Highly recommend the Cook Your Own meal option. The lamb chops were divine! Pancakes gave us enough to use for brekky on day 2.

Great place for a few days. Open space for spread out camping. Very friendly hosts. Close to town. Best both worlds.

We loved how private each spot was. Ample room for lots of people to spread out.
