Site 3 - Shady Corner Orchard
Highly recommend
We had a corner of the property making it feel like we had the place to ourselves. The lawn we parked our camper van on was super lush and our three dogs loved the place.
We were able to pick a few fresh strawberries to pop on our brekky in the morning as well. Delicious!

Awesome experience with our toddler
It was our first time camping with our toddler, and we absolutely loved it! The campsite was conveniently close to amenities. During our stay, we took walks around the orchards and marveled at the varieties of fruits growing there. We even had the opportunity to feed the animals and enjoy a tractor ride. These experiences made our Father’s Day extra special! We are definitely planning to come back in the future.

I LOVED our stay at Jaime and Nathan’s gorgeous orchard. They were very accommodating and welcoming. Both dogs was absolute sweethearts!
Just have to make sure to being my bug spray next time I visit the Dam- but that’s kinda obvious 😅
Thanks and until next time!

All around great experience!
Myself and two friends only stayed for one night but this place made an amazing impression on us nonetheless!! Jaime, Nathan and their family are wonderful hosts, and the experience was homey and personal.
The camping spot was lovely - flanked by a grove of trees and overlooking the lilypad covered dam, we sat by the firepit and listened to the sounds of frogs, birds, and farm animals. We were able to access it with 2WD in dry conditions. When the sun went down we could clearly see so many stars and almost make out the Milky Way - if it weren't for the bright full moon I bet it would've been even clearer.
The orchard itself is beautiful, we walked through the rows of trees and sat in a patch of clovers to make flower crowns. You can wander through and pick a fruit or two (mandarins were in season during our visit) and it is great value to buy some to take home.
As well as fresh fruit, there is a delightful cafe and store with varieties of honey, jam, and chutneys available for purchase (all homemade and homegrown). We even noticed a book that Jaime created herself - all about bees and the amazing things they do and make.
The animals were wonderfully friendly - we were able to feed and pet goats, chooks, horses, pigs, alpacas, and guinea pigs and we loved the energetic dogs Billy and Steve-o. The animals are great for kids.
Overall we had a great time! We expect to be back soon, maybe check out one of the other beautiful sites :)
