Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
A unique secluded off grid Tiny Home situated on a cattle property overlooking Dangars Gorge and the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. Fabulous bush walking on the property and close to the start of longer walks through the National Park. The tiny home sleeps 3 people with two living loft areas. It’s got all of the creature comforts you nee. A large covered deck leads out to a gravelled area where the outdoor bath sits.Perched high up on the edge of Dangars Gorge, surrounded by nature, this unique Eco Hauslein Tiny home offers spectacular views of the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, Dangars Gorge and the Falls. Completely off grid however with all of today’s modern comforts. Enjoy the night sky and bush surrounds, have a soak in the outdoor bath which boasts perhaps the best view in the New England. It’s a great base to explore from, with local walks on the property or longer walks in the National Park. The space This Hauslein Sejourner Tiny home has two sleeping areas. One queen bedroom accessed by stairs and the other, a King Single above the living area accessed by a fixed ladder. Both areas have skylights which view the incredible night sky (without light pollution for those keen Star gazers). The living area in this tiny home is unique. There is an expanded area that houses the two seater sofa and ottoman, giving the whole area a feeling of space. There is a smart TV with Netflix available and Stan Channels. The view from the sofa is fabulous and frames Dangars falls. There is also a bookshelf with books for those wishing to unwind and read. There is a breakfast bar that is attached to the kitchen for dining. The Galley kitchen has all the mod cons. A draw dishwasher, cook top, oven, microwave, fridge freezer and Nespresso machine. There is ample clever storage with a pullout larder cupboard and lots of drawers. Fully equipped with pots, pans and dining utensils. The handcrafted cedar work top gives you plenty of space to prepare meals. The bathroom is situated at the far end of the tiny home, accessed by a sliding barn door; it has a shower, a ceder sink and a compostable toilet. The exterior is fantastic. A covered deck leads out of the tiny home giving great shade and a spot to relax. There is an outdoor dining table and bbq. From the deck, a gravelled area with a fire pit leads you towards the outdoor bath which is perched on the edge of the gorge giving you the best views around! This house is completely off grid and it’s totally private, you will have the home to yourself. It’s set amongst pristine bush land which is home to various endangered species including the spotted Quoll which has been recorded on the property, we have seen peregrine falcons and lyrebirds from this location too. Guest access By Gorge Tiny home is set approximately 2.5 kms from the road on a 1500 acre cattle property. It is approximately 16-18 kms south East Of Armidale. Access is by a track that leads from the road down to the Gorge area. 4WD is recommended however, depending on the weather 2WD with sufficient clearance is possible. For times when it is incredibly wet or if you do not have a 4WD, we are able to provide drop off and pick up in our Can Am side by side with your luggage. There is private parking at the start of the track where you can leave your vehicle. The access track is an easy 15-20 minute walk from the road to the Cabin. As the property is fully off grid and remote we would like to meet guests and explain how everything works. There is code for the door that will be sent prior to arrival. We also require proof of ID for our indemnity form. Other things to note This property is quite remote. It is not suitable for young children due to the gorge drop off and the loft style of the Tiny Home. If you love the outdoors and are happy to unplug and enjoy the natural surrounds then you will like it. If you prefer to be in town and like to be around people, restaurants and shops then this is not for you. It is situated very close to the National Park and occasionally we have had times when the National Park has been closed due to bush fire risk. If we have such a time again we will have no choice to postpone the stay to a suitable time or refund the booking. Dangars Falls is visible from the Tiny Home. This water fall can be spectacular and thundering. During dry times it came become a trickle or completely dry up.
