5 acres of land, 2/3rds covered by native forest that connects with the Bundjalung national park, with a fenced permaculture garden area full of herbs and greens. A few kilometres away from world class surf beaches, not far from the Esk river that flows through the national park and less than a kilometre from the mighty Clarence River. The land is located in a rural residential neighbourhood area, there is not only peace and quiet, but safety and security with friendly neighbours.A place of peace and serenity, this is a retreat that best suits an extended family who are looking for a large, comfortable space surrounded by nature. If you are longing for a restful place to sleep deeply to the sounds of owls and nothing else, then this is the pick for you. The main house sleeps 4 + with a kitchenette, bathroom (bath tub and outdoor hot shower), compost toilet and fire pit sitting area. There is also a renovated retro caravan which sleeps 2+ with its own outdoor shower, camp toilet, basic campfire cooking facilities and a back deck that opens to the forest. There is a large, flat grassy area that's perfect for any additional tents etc. This is an idea space for a longer stay with an extended family or good friends. Set up and designed as a 'one planet' household, around ten years ago, our aim is to provide a living example that treads gently on the Earth. We welcome well behaved dogs (on leash).
