Brightwater sits beside Olney State Forest and Kuluwan Flora Reserve. It is a 50-acre farm with a lovely spring-fed dam, with our nearby campsite. The site contains van parking, an open pavilion, an open deck by the stream, a fire pit, and a dunny. It is private and secluded, and with just one group staying at a time, you are guaranteed the space to yourselves. There are many beautiful walking and bike trails in the area. Lots of wildlife to meet, including water dragons, wild ducks, and pythons, to name a few. There is also nearby evidence of the original occupants, the Darkinjung people. You are also welcome to bring a couple of horses! There's a safe paddock with a trough and nice trails in the area to explore. The Kulnura General Store and bottleshop is just 9km down the road for basic supplies. This site is by a lovely spring-fed dam and surrounded by bushland. It's around .5k from the main house and is completely private. You can swim in the dam, lie on the deck, scramble along the creek or walk/bike on the many trails in the area. Lots to explore! Pets are welcome. If you wish you could also bring a couple of horses. There's a paddock with a trough and nice riding in the area. Cath also has free range chooks and a garden so there are seasonal veggies and eggs if you want them.

Super private and very dog friendly
Really beautiful and private site, with good amenities. It would be really easy if you had minimal gear as there is shelter, tables and chairs provided as well as water and a washing up station. Also a lot of firewood was provided with a great fire pit. The dogs really loved swimming in the dam, and the local walks were really beautiful. The only thing I would mention is that some of the dogs come close to the site each night and bark loudly for a few minutes (just guarding the livestock), which could possibly be a problem if you had a reactive dog. Cath did warn us about this so we were prepared and kept our dogs close by so there was no trouble.

We loved the secluded little spot down the back of the property. There was heaps of firewood, more than enough for the time we were there. The bush walks were also great. Would highly recommend!

Spring Dam
We had a really good time. The camping area is really well laid out with a deck looking over the dan and a huge under cover area. We ended up putting out swags under cover which was great! We loved the massive fire pit and the hug amount of wood provided. It was also nice to have chairs and tables out side and also under cover. Nice clean toilet and some good bush walks directly accessible from the camp site.

Private and relaxing
Great, relaxing weekend and very private. Site was really clean and Cath and her husband had stocked up the woodpile to allow as much fire as we needed. Temperature was surprisingly mild for July.

Private Serenity
Summarising our stay in 2 words: Privacy & Tranquillity. Such a gorgeous space to enjoy the present moment with you S/O and dogs. We all had a blast. Too cold for us to swim but the dogs loved it. The 2 walking tracks are an added bonus. Cath was lovely. Showed us our spot and left us to it (just how we like it). The convenience of the sheltered area for when it rained was definitely a plus Would highly recommend this spot.
