Binghi Station Located approximately 4.5hours from Brisbane, Queensland, or 1.5 hour drive west of Tenterfield, New South Wales. Binghi Station, once a large sheep station, was a thriving tin and gem mine from the late 1800 to mid 1900. Set on 4,000 acres of natural granite rock country and untouched overgrowth of lush tea tree bushlands, the sheer beauty of the land will, without a doubt, leave you breathless of its raw natural beauty. Binghi Station surrendered to the ravaging bush fires of 2019, however, after this devastation came some much needed rainfall which brought hope; the creation of new life in the form of rich, vibrant green country not seen since the 1980’s. You can explore endlessly on this raw outback property. Discover secret hideouts, come and enjoy a swim under our flowing waterfall (for those brave enough to during the winter months!) and simply relax and soak in pure wildlife beneath a million stars in the night sky. We strongly recommend access by 4WD only as the entry 6klm driveway is rugged and very bumpy in most places due to heavy rain fall past 12 months. Please ask for more details if necessary should you have any concerns based on your equipment. Its an ongoing maintenance. The Secret Gorge site is suited to swags, tents and camper trailers. It is not suited for Caravans over 15' due to a tight corner. Other site locations are suited to off-road 4WD caravans and camper trailers. Binghi Station - an extraordinary place to make some truly wonderful family memories. :-)

Site 13 - The Secret Gorge
Such a beautiful place, waterfalls were flowing, and watering holes were full. Great 4WD tracks to the campgrounds. The host, Adrian, was very accommodating, came to check that we were all good as we arrived early evening, highly recommend.

Shearing Shed Campground
Adrian and Oratai were extremely welcoming and kind hosts. Binghi Station is 4x4 only. It has raw beauty with its gorges and camp areas and suits those who truly want to get away from it all. Drop toilets were very civilised. For the rest, you must be self sufficient. Little or no mobile signal which is a welcome break from the busy-ness of normal life. A gem of a place. We will be back.

Site 1 - The Secret Gorge
Exceptional camping
The property was absolutely amazing. It’s the ultimate destination for adventurers with so many gorges and water holes to explore. Adrian is an amazing host and has left many thoughtful touches around the property, including signage to the different areas, fairy lights, pit toilets complete with toilet paper, a hot shower etc. We wish we had stayed longer! We will definitely be back. Thanks Adrian!

Site 1 - The Secret Gorge
Highly recommend
We lovedddd camping at the secret gorge site. The facilities were good and functional. The spot itself is stunning and private. Lots of wildlife and beautiful rock pools to explore. Definitely requires 4wd to access the site. Adrian and his family are so lovely and accommodating. We will be back again soon!

Worth the trip in!
An amazing spot, we had a small off road van and had to take it easy and slow. Worth the trip, rock formations and bird life were the high lights.
