Set up camp on a tranquil sandbar and go fishing or relax by the Wakool River. Enjoy exploring bird-life and bush-walking, and in the evening sit by your private campfire (wintertime). Water recreational activities must adhere to safety standards. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water supply (there is access to rainwater). Our property is located on the edge of the Wakool River, not too far from the NSW/VIC border and the Murray River. Pets welcome. Campfires allowed when safe - adhere to total fire bans. Please do not litter. Leave the campsite how you found it. Please also be mindful of stock around the property. Please stay on designated roads and be mindful of biosecurity issues.

Great river camping
Absolutely fantastic hosts. Marg and her husband were great in helping us get out of the camp ground after a unusual amount of rain. That resulted in very muddy exit. Help was offered and were super friendly. Would recommend.

River camping 1A and 1B
Great location. 1B camp site was much better. We were able to move sites and it was much better. Right on the sandy river bank. Plenty of firewood no other people around great beach for swimming. There is a strong current so be very careful.

Fantastic spot. Shared the sandbar with others but would not have known they were there. Marg was quick to respond to my queries. I would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

Can’t wait to come back
Our second time this year staying here and it was as perfect as the first. Nice and private campsites on the beautiful river.

Camping with a River view
We loved camping at site 3. We had a tent and a caravan but there was plenty of room for another 2 caravans. The view of the river in the morning from our bed was magnificent. The tracks to the sites are clearly marked. Site 3 is a little drive to get to but totally worth it for the privacy. Marg was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back.
