Barrnation is a working 6000 acre cattle and sheep farm nestled in the heart of the Boorolong area. Well off the beaten track, this property has an abundance of land to explore. Mountain views and wide open spaces;, Barrnation is for those who are seeking solitude and an off grid experience. With the Abbington creek running through the entirety of the property, we are fortunate to be able to offer several secluded, peaceful camping spots beside the creek or up on one of the mountain ridges. Horses and their riders also welcome, with so many unexplored places to discover. Solitude, sunsets and a sense of escape is awaiting guests. Please be mindful that Barrnation camping sites are 4WD access only. Rough terrain to camping areas means 4WDs and equivalent camping trailers only. Non-off-road trailers are not suitable.

The Ruins camp
Dean (and Dan who we met on site) were awesome hosts. Super helpful and responsive. The property and camp spot is quite remote and the hosts ensured we found the camp spot the evening we arrived. Such a beautiful property. Didn’t hear or see anyone our entire trip (which is what we wanted). It’s a great spot for people looking to unwind completely for a few days. Access was good, just on farm tracks and trails, you’ll definitely need a 4WD. We can’t wait to visit again!!

The Ruins camp
1 Night Stay at the Ruins
Great isolated spot by the creek. Met our friendly host who guided us to camp as it is a 30min drive through the property. We didn't mind as it was an adventure but hopefully with a bit more traffic the track will become more defined. Would recommend high clearance 4wd and no vans due to long grass/track in. We were tracking our trip via gps which assisted us in getting out the next day without issues. Had the camp all to ourselves, was lovely and quiet with plenty of space and shade from the trees by the water. Only stayed one night but would definitely come back for longer as we didn't have any time to explore. Grass was a bit long but I'm sure with a bit more use it will be awesome getaway for those wanting a remote camp.
