Aurora is set on 300 acres of natural terrain with breath taking escarpment views, an abundance of animal life a running stream and dams The property offers multiple camping spots located only 2 hrs from Sydney's inner city CBD. It is a secluded location, you will be sent a map with clear directions on how to find us once booking is confirmed. Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead and well behaved around native animals and livestock. 4WD and AWD sites available no 2WD access With only a 15min - 20min drive to Jenolan Caves Aurora is the perfect camp spot for a weekend of adventure or take some time to reflect, relax and refocus. Campfires permitted if restrictions aren't in place and wood can be purchased in advance ready to go. Guest are expected to remove all their rubbish from the site - leave only footprints. No caravans larger than 21ft. - (Vans Aurora view site only)

Nice private area with awesome views. Easily accessible to drive with FWD/AWD and areas to explore. Limited in natural shade however was made up by night time stargazing. Matt is extremely welcome and helpful with tips.

Wild Woods private retreat
Matt’s property is so beautiful. We had a wonderfully peaceful weekend amongst nature with complete privacy from other campers. Would highly recommend!

Matt's property is excellent and extremely picturesque. Communication with Matt is nice and easy. The meet up location is easy to find and not far from the property. Matt takes you into your site and gives you the lay of the land. The wood supplied by Matt if you chose to get it, is nice and dry and ready to burn. I definitely agree with the SUV/4wd only access. You could potentially do it in a normal car but if it rains you'll run the risk of not being able to get out. I definitely recommend and would not hesitate going back if I get the opportunity.

A fabulous spot.
It’s a fabulous and private location. Matt is a very helpful host. It is exposed to the wind- so be prepared ! We have a camper pod - swing out wide at the gate!!!!

Love this place
Another great weekend camping at Aurora View. This is our go to spot each winter. The weather wasn't on our side this time with strong wind gusts at night and rain showers, but we were prepared to deal with whatever mother nature could throw at us. The added firewood is well worth it and was more than sufficient for the two nights we stayed.
