Barnacle RV site
Quiet, peaceful
I enjoyed that it was quite secluded, I was even able to do a little tanning in the buff. (I'm a Floridian sun-worshiper) Just wished I could have met Heather, she was very helpful and kind. One caveat: the red dirt, especially after rains is a bit unpleasant.

Enchanting Taos
Overall we enjoyed our experience here as we needed a campsite with electric to power the AC in our trailer in order to keep our dogs cool in the desert heat. The host is incredibly gracious and helpful. The location is very close to downtown Taos and can't be beat. Other than that, you are basically camping in a yard of dirt and cacti. The site could use some shade and an easier way to turn around.

A nice place to relax
We had a very nice stay at The Barnacle. Heather is a lovely host. She was there to greet us when we arrived and is a fountain of knowledge related to the area. We parked our trailer in a nicely groomed area of the property. All the camping amenities listed were correct. This community in Taos is an interesting one. If you're into exciting landscapes and architecture this a pretty fascinating place to visit. It's earthship heaven! We hope to return.
