Once upon a time, the Pecos Tribe lived in this valley and if you pay close attention, you can still find arrowheads and fire-charred ceilings on rock overhangs. After that the people from Pecos grazed their cattle in the area. Enjoy the unique experience in the magical La Cueva valley right by the Santa Fe National Forest. Stay in our romantic hand-painted 18' tipi "Prairie Fire" overlooking the arroyo on our picturesque 30 acre forest property. Friendly pets are welcome, we do recommend to leave them on a leash especially if they tend to wander. Please let me know if you bring animals as there are other dogs on the property. There is a lot of wildlife that comes through. Please do not feed the wildlife and keep your food locked up or up in the trees. We do have bears, mountain lions, chipmunks, raccoons, deer, bobcats and many birds. , etc.

Susanne is amazing. She’s very responsive, kind and personable. The teepee was amazing along with the neighborhood dogs and roosters. The place is amazing with great hiking trails. Highly recommend!

Wilderness Bubble
This was a beautiful little retreat for a weekend getaway! We booked the bubble for Albuquerque balloon fiesta and it was perfect! There is about an hour drive to Albuquerque but not difficult. I recommend a vehicle lifted off the ground and or with four wheel drive. There is a small hike from your parking spot down to the bubble but it’s not too bad. The horse trailer bathroom definitely makes this location luxury. We loved every minute of it!

Magical Bubble
What a magical space the bubble tent is! In the middle of The Pecos, close to a lovely hiking area. The space has everything for a glamping experience: comfy beds and hammock, dishes, coffee, tables, chairs and a fire pit. The nearby horse trailer has a very clean toilet + shower and a toaster and coffee maker. And Santa Fe is just 20 minutes away! We loved our stay and can't wait to be back ❤️
