Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
This amazing 20 acre property is on a high mesa covered with fragrant sage and beautiful Pinyon pine trees . The pristine 365° views are spectacular and the sunsets are an enchanting spectacle every evening! My 100% off-grid earthship home is near the Rio Grande River giving access to wonderful hiking and rafting! There is always wildlife to see there such as mountain goats, coyote and elk. There are also natural hot springs to soak in after hiking or any time of day or night. I am also putting up teepees that people can sleep in if they choose to not sleep in their own RV and in the future will be offering art classes in the teepees. This earthship is located near The Greater World Bio-Techture Earthship community. If interested, guests can book tours of the earth ship community and see all the awesome things they are up to over there! The charming town of Taos is nearby offering art galleries, historic museums, live music and delicious ethnic food. If you know who Georgia O’Keeffe is, she and her group of artists spent much time here. Taos also has a ski resort which is another fabulous place to go hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter. The hiking trails have small rivers and creeks and wild flowers everywhere adorning the mountain views. In the winter the skiing at Taos Ski Valley resort provides a shuttle to and from the ski area. I also have Cross-Country Ski parties on my property during full moons in the winter months.Welcome to Coyote Moon!Come and enjoy 20 acres in the serene high desert among sage, wildlife and amazing mountain views. There are several places to park your RV , car or truck. This beautiful property is a dark sky spot meaning there is no light pollution. There are no street lights or house lights that are outside making it a great location for astronomers, star gazers and UFO enthusiasts! Feel free to bring your telescopes and view the Milky Way, planets and beyond... I also have star parties with the Albuquerque and Santa Fe astronomy groups and you can reserve a spot here to attend at those times as well to join those events.Additionally in the winter there is access to cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on the 20 acre property.Access to art classes and on-site art studio are available upon special request which you can book direct through me. This property is available all year round. Leashed, well behaved pets are always welcome.

Coyote Moon Retreat
Magical stay, peaceful stars
My trip to Coyote Moon has been excellent each time, and Patricia the host always welcoming and accommodating. This spot is especially peaceful and away from the noise and commotion of the city, yet close enough by as to not be too remote. The nicest benefit of this is the spell-bounding array of stars at night- truly jaw dropping. The desert sun in the day is of course hot so a place for shade would be recommended.
