Hiker's paradise and riverfront glamping. A getaway tucked in a secluded and picturesque oasis near Purgatory Falls hiking trail, just 1.5 hrs. from Boston. Relax in a quiet , peaceful forest and enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot amidst nature and close to purgatory brook and the beaver dam. The 4-season glamping tent has everything you need at your fingertips. From phone chargers to coffee and tea. Luxury bedding, solar powered outdoor shower and absolute peace awaits you. This site is perfect for a romantic getaway. Our place is perfect for nature lovers and great for fungi and moss enthusiasts. We’ve carefully thought through all the pros and cons of camping to cater to your experience at The Beaver Lookout! When you rent your tent space through us, here is what you’ll experience: * A very private spot in a wonderful forest right at Purgatory Brook. * A well-designed, water and fire-proofed 4 season canvas tent. So even on rainy days, you will be kept warm and dry, listening to the sound of the rain. The windows and front and back doors unzip to screened windows and doors to help you fight off any potential mosquitoes while also allowing a warm summer breeze to flow through. * A deck with comfortable Adirondack chairs. * A queen-size bed with a comfortable memory foam mattress, super soft sheets, cushy pillows, a soft, warm duvet cover, and a blanket. A rug is underneath to keep those bare feet warm! * A wood stove in the winter season and a fire pit to light on beautiful evenings, and plenty of dry firewood to purchase from us for both. *Battery-operated lanterns and a battery pack to charge your own devices. There is good cell phone reception. (T-Mobile and Verizon work best). * A propane camp stove to cook your meals on, with plenty of pots and pans, tinfoil, wooden spoons, plates, bowls, salt and pepper, oil, basic spices… everything you need! * Coffee and tea and a camp stove French press. * A welcome gift will await you. * A cooler to keep your food in just bring the ice. * Gallons of water from our own spring to drink, wash your dishes with, and use to put the campfire out. * A hammock to nap or read in. * An enclosed camping toilet with toilet paper and indoor solar shower spot * Soft, big towels for your needs. * Lots of woods, brooks, and trails on our property to explore. * A binder of recommended shops, farmers' markets and adventures, and restaurants. * Add-ons like pre-made meals, romance packages, or camp-fire stew packages are available! What should you bring? * Bug spray * Food * Layers of clothes--New Hampshire weather can wildly fluctuate! * Something warm for your feet * A sense of adventure! Anything else you should know? * Yes. Remember, that this is a full-woods immersion. So that means there is wildlife and bugs! Staying in the glamping tent comes with a bit of responsibility. All food must be cleaned up and stored properly to avoid attracting any wild critters, including bears. The garbage must be contained and covered, and no food should be left out at any point. When you leave for the day or go to bed, please put anything in the sealed cooler, lockable dry box, or in your car, including toothpaste. Sweep up and dispose of any crumbs. If you are unsure of anything, give us a shout and we will help you! Remember this is luxury tenting, not luxury hoteling! * We have a working farm, so while you have as much privacy as you need, you may hear sounds coming from the property, like dogs, lawn mowers, and tractors, or some noise from the neighbors and people hiking the purgatory brook trail. * Sometimes, if it rains and especially in the spring, there are some wet areas. Rain boots are always helpful! * Mosquitoes and ticks are a real thing here in New Hampshire and are inescapable if you intend to be outside at all. Some years are better than others. Bring bug spray! Campsite meal delivers are available upon order.

Bubbling Brook- Hikers Paradise
Cozy glamping
We had an amazing time glamping at Bob and Astrid's. The site is HUGE, with two different fire pits, a sweet little outdoor bathroom/solar shower setup, and a bubbling brook (literally) right outside the door. There is total privacy--there was no one around except the occasional hiker on the far side of the river. The tent is set up in a super cozy way, with fresh-smelling linens and towels, lights, and even a "kitchenette" with camping stove. It POURED the weekend we were there, and we stayed totally dry and in fact enjoyed reading and hanging out inside and listening to the rain on the tent. The drive to the parking spot was a little rocky, we were glad we had a Subaru. From there it was a short walk (5-7 mins) to the site.

Beaver Lookout
Best glamping, lovely people
Wonderful place, lovely people. This is the best glamping experience you will find. Description is exactly what you get. Beautiful, very private spot. Driven in by UTV, you can relax by the river, or hike to your heart's content. Lovely view over the river, with pine canopy. Beaver dam complete with beaver, we saw them! Astrid and Rob are excellent hosts that know what small touches make the difference. Happy to make your stay a wonderful, no matter your level of experience camping. They even have meal packs! If you want to try glamping, or are a seasoned camper, you'll love this one. Nick and Tess.
