Havens Ranch is a 154 acres in the Humboldt river valley just 10 minutes outside of Winnemucca, NV. We have a small outdoor wedding venue, and only rent our spaces when we are not hosting an event. You are welcome to utilize the grounds and facilities, which include a beautifully landscaped lawn, historic buildings and modern plumed bathrooms. We also provide access to fresh well water and use of our large fire pits! **Please note that our bathrooms are not insulated and so we winterize the plumbing the in the colder months and will instead be providing a porta-john. There will still be potable running water available at the spigot. ** The river is a short walk away, and our longhorn cattle will most likely be grazing in the adjacent field. We have incredible sunsets and a variety of wildlife living on the property. This is a great space to get away from the city for a weekend, or camp for a night on your way through town. We have both a guest suite and several camping spaces available. It's a large property and we love to share it! If you are looking for outdoor activities, we are just minutes away from the Winnemucca Dunes OHV area (also great for hiking!), Water Canyon rec site, the Bloody Shins mountain biking trail system, and about an hour away from the Paradise Valley rock climbing area. We are 10 minutes from Winnemucca, about half way between Reno and Elko.

We loved this place. It is a big place with comfortable bathrooms and mirrors. It’s conveniently located. It is a Ranch to have a quick rest. Thanks

Simple, nice spot to stay near Winnamucca. We liked the “shabby chic” restroom that was provided and the stargazing was amazing. We would stay there again.

Could be an great place
Overall, my stay was fine and I understand that it's an operating ranch, but there was welding after sunset on Friday and early morning Saturday which wasn't how I wanted to wake up. Also my dog has never eaten as much cow dung in her life, but the views were nice and it was quiet the rest of the night. Love the men's room wallpaper!

DO NOT PAY FOR THIS NONSENSE!
We originally booked our stay for 2 nights but were stranded the 1st night getting in due to a huge crash on the highway and a fire a couple of miles after that. We were re-routed on our GPS to a 15 mile unpaved road in the dark & decided to turn around & sit tight & sleep on the side of the road closer to the highway. All of this was communicated to the host & he was helpful and understanding. We cancelled our reservation & waited until morning until all was clear. we contacted host again to let him know that we would still like to come and booked ANOTHER reservation for a single night. Upon arriving we were deeply astonished by the amount of junk (old mattresses, trash, broken down equipment and parts everywhere) on ALL sides of the ‘ranch’ (i say this loosely) I mean, it really felt more like a JUNKYARD/ HOARDER space than anything. We were still optimistic when instructed to drive past all of that & into the camping area We proceeded down & found a spot by the grass but were sprayed down by sprinklers & had to move. we moved out by the pasture area (cow patties everywhere on the grounds) & thought all was well until we stepped into our van and realized that 100’s of flies had invaded our space. We spent the rest of our stay battling flies (gross) and trying to drown out the noise of heavy machinery running all day (so loud!) We are now battling trying to get our original refund returned (host has denied), and are not getting much help from Hipcamp. Very let down

Ranch camping under the stars
Open space with nice facilities and a shaded lawn with a pond. Cast iron fire pits and covered common areas. Large, eclectic, well lit restrooms. Loved seeing the longhorn cattle and listening to the coyotes sing us to sleep. Combining all of this with the ability to bring our dogs made this a perfect pit stop as we travel across Nevada. My only regret is that we only stayed one night! I would love to come back with a large group and enjoy all the detail Warren and Emily have put into their facilities. Instructions to get in were easy and had no problem arriving in the dark. Would definitely recommend if you are coming through Winnemucca!

Winnemucca Sleepover
What I enjoyed about the property is that it gave us the necessities we needed to continue our road trip. It was safe, quiet, and had clean restrooms. Unfortunately we didn't have neighbors to share the camp with. Maybe next time.
