4 miles from Billings. 1000 acres. We try to keep things as natural as possible except we do mow the common area in the trees. For security reasons, we will meet you at the gates and escort you to your camping spot upon 1st arrival. Fire wood available for sale $10 - needs to be discussed before hand. Camping available on the butte for viewing of northern lights. Lots of room to explore. Long term camping is available. 1 porta-potty on site. There is 1 mile of dirt road after leaving the pavement. We are 6 miles from Walmart. This is a working cattle ranch and the cows come through time to time. The listing computer keeps putting us in LOCKWOOD but we are actually 3 miles north of Billings. Last minute bookings are fine, if we are around -we will let you stay. We live 1 mile from the camp site and 2 miles from the gates where we will meet you. If you are looking for a RV park or campground - this is not it. We have cows, birds, wild animals and dirt roads. There is no power but we could hook you up to a generator if needed. There is a new camper on site that may be rented ( owned by a different party) message us for details. The morning of you arrival, please send an ETA so we know how to plan our day, then give us a 30 minute heads up before arrival so we can meet you at the gates. Sometimes we also are 30 minutes away. A lot of the time you may be the only campers out here.4 miles north of Billings, MT. Multiple sites, in trees, overlooking the lake, in the rocks, or above buttes.  For security purposes we will meet you at the gates and take you to your campsite upon 1st arrival. We do not charge extra for children under 18. I have 6 kids myself. Common area with BBQ, fire pit, and picnic tables. Can accommodate any vehicle from car to semi. Someone is usually around so 1/2 hour notice for reservation may work. 4 miles from town and 5 miles from Walmart.  If you are looking for an RV park - this is not it. We are trying to be as natural as we can be. You will be camping with cows, coyotes, eagles, owls, deer, and antelope.   The large tree area is about 3 acres and can accommodate 7 campers so this might make a good place for family reunions etc. Potable water is available for an extra charge. We will set up a 300 gal. cistern next to the camper and refill as necessary.  *****We will meet you at the gates and take you to your spot.*****

Trees, Lake view, Rock buttes!
An absolute gem in the solitude of nature with plenty of wildlife. My dogs and I liked it so much that we stayed an additional night. We will come and visit again. 👍🏼

Trees, Lake view, Rock buttes!
I highly recommend this site! After a long day of driving through the Badlands to Billings, I was happy to be greeted by Sabra's husband who escorted us onto the property and made sure we were settled in and that all our needs were met and questions were answered. The site is located on a working cattle ranch with beautiful views and plenty of space to walk the dog. We had no problem finding a level spot for my teardrop trailer. There is cattle poop scattered around the site but this was not a problem for us at all. The evening was peaceful, quiet and private. It was very cool and windy in the morning. We had a great walk before our departure. We were on a cross country trip. I used the road trip feature on Hip Camp to find this site which was very helpful indeed because we wanted to find spots near the freeway but still secluded and private. This site fits the bill!

Loved our ranch stay!
We loved our 2-night stay at Bill & Sabra’s ranch. The view was amazing. And our site, tucked under a canopy of trees, was very comfortable. Porto-potty was very clean. We walked up to the top of the butte to get an awesome look around. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We woke to the cows grazing around our little camper and the pronghorns running through the pasture.

What a beautiful spot! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and took full advantage of the amazing surroundings. Hiked the butte and explored the natural beauty. The abundant wildlife was ever present in the surround fields. Dozen of pictures to share when we get home. We couldn’t offer high enough praise for the accommodation and the host went over the top to make sure we felt welcome. We will recommend this camp to anyone who travels to Billings. Five stars! Thank you for having us. Hope to see you again.
