Not at all the experience described
This place was nothing like it’s advertised. It’s not an old montana ghost town, it’s a bunch of old buildings purchased by an individual and placed on their land to resemble a ghost town. Most buildings were filled with old rubbish or being used for animals. Upon arrival we were told we couldn’t use any of the amenities because they were filming for a show? In the morning we walked around and were finally able to find a bathroom to use in the saloon. (They weren’t filming on the weekends so it was okay for us to come into the “old town”) We had booked (and paid for) 2 nights but ended up leaving early in the morning as we didn’t feel welcomed or comfortable staying there another night.

Needs more work, not worth $50.
The historic camp was kinda neat to see. Although the overall experience was okay. Our campsite was in an open field with a lot of knap-weed. There wasn’t a fire pit, although, there appeared to be an open fire pit further in the historic area. Basically was told to “park here and there’s the bathroom and shower.” Would give this experience a 2.

This campsite was not what we expected so we actually did not stay. Our party included 3 adults and 2 kids ages 7 and 11. The camping area was just a small, open grassy patch adjacent to the town. It was a very hot day and there is no shade to be had in the camping area, there were also no firepits or picnic tables. I had emailed the host days before requesting information about cooking over a fire and I did not receive a response. To their credit, the host did offer their charcoal grill once we arrived and had asked again about cooking our own food, which was a nice offer. The town is very small and that is about all there is to do there. This may work for other parties but it does not work for us so we found camping elsewhere.

Historic town with spacious camping
Private land with tons of space for camping. The wash house is huge with a hot shower and sink for hand washing. I had my car camping rig there for a few nights and enjoyed the scenic historic town and animals. The hosts and staff were so friendly and answered all of my questions about the history of the buildings and things to do in the area! Hope to come back for one of the many events they host on weekend. 👻

We enjoyed our stay at the old ghost town. When we originally booked I wasn't aware there was actually a show about the ghosts that have been seen there, but I guess that is quite a draw for many people. It was neat hearing about the history of each old building and the kids thought it was all very cool. Very quiet location with beautiful surroundings and plenty of room to park that's fairly level. Ideally this would have been a one night stay for us driving through the area but there is a 2 night minimum. We checked out a local park with swimming pool and went to Smelter City Brewery downtown with great outdoor seating and yummy tacos!
