The beautiful Kingfisher's Bend is a blend of mixed mature timber, young trees and open meadow surrounded on three sides by the St. Louis River with 5 campsites. Sites 1-4 are tent or camper friendly while site 5 is tucked away and only tent ready. All sites are a 2-5 minute walk from the St. Louis River and a 2 minute walk from the new outhouse and water hose. A short ride from the Sax Zim Bog. Bring your camera, binoculars, fishing gear, canoe, kayak or river tube and enjoy a quiet float on the river, bird watching or fish the many fishing holes. Walleye, Northern Pike, Small mouth Bass and occasional trout and other species inhabit these waters. Hike the river's edge and relax along the bluffs. Enjoy dark skies for nighttime stargazing. Bring your family, your tick protected dog and your bug and tick spray! You will be camping near the woods so you will encounter the local flying and crawling bugs.

Loved it, highly recommend
This Campground was amazing, I highly recommend. Me and my friend tent camped and the spot was plenty big for two tents and could definitely fit some bigger trucks or RVs. The owner was absolutely amazing, he came and met us when we arrived and showed us around as well as was very informative about fun things to do in the area. All of the sites are next to eachother with quite a bit of trees in between each site (can’t see other sites)

We loved camping on Gary’s land! Art was very easy to communicate with and everyone was extremely helpful and kind. The new outhouse is a great addition and having free wood was great as well. I’m very excited to come back!

Best Camping Trip!
We loved staying at Kingfisher's Bend! It was very easy to get to and the grounds were gorgeous. It was great to be close enough to do a quick jaunt to Two Harbors and Duluth, but we found ourselves wanting to stay at the camp more than anything! Art gave us plenty of firewood and was so friendly to us getting in a little later. The outhouse was extremely clean and smelled like fresh cedar. A short little walk to the river was beautiful. Everything was quiet and tranquil, and the stars and sunsets at night were to die for. We absolutely loved staying here, and would be happy to come back!

Wonderful 2 nights of camping
Art & Gary were friendly, very helpful & explained features of the campground. Sites are wonderfully manicured & surrounded by many trees. The cute 2 seat “tinkle box” is close to the sites. The river is just a few minutes away by walk thru the forested hill. We took a relaxing 3 hr paddle (in at one bridge & out at the next bridge). The trees lining the river were just starting to change colors. And campground was so very quiet & peaceful! I strongly recommend camping at Kingfisher’s Bend.
